Cal has been alone all his life. After all, lust demons aren't known for their ability to fall in love. For centuries, he's used his gifts to help others find the happy ending he felt he would never have. When a virgin fae, Gabe, walks into his club, Cal is immediately struck by the little sprite's good looks. Knowing the fae's natural magnetism could ignite a riot, Cal im ...more

This book is terrible ... and also a masterpiece .

There's a threshold of bad that once you cross it you completely transcend all taste. The worse something is after that point the more enjoyable it suddenly becomes. Like those old monster movies where you can see the zipper sticking out. Like Naked Came the Stranger or Atlanta Nights, which were both written deliberately to be as horrible as possible and yet both went on to be bestsellers.

Lust & Fae is so unbelievably awful I have a hard ti

Oh, no, no, no. Maybe this wasn't a good first choice to get to know this author's work, maybe it gets better. Couldn't stand being subjected to more crying, giggling, sitting on laps or being carried around like a child. It reminded me a lot of Stormy Glenn's writing...but she doesn't do much for me either. Got about half way through and that was more than enough, not for me at all.

This is a great start to a new series. There was enough of an introduction to explain how this world works for me, as well as two engaging characters: Cal, the lust demon, who is actually a really good guy, and Gabe, the orphaned fae, who is looking for love. Oh, yes, and there is male pregnancy.

Cal is one of five lust demons who run a sex club. That alone is hilarious, but the way he tries to match couples to ensure they are happy is very touching. He doesn't believe he deserves that type of lo

It's a pretty bad book.

But I don't know why, but it was exactly what I needed. Absolutely no angst at all, no heavy feelings or complications and some pretty hardcore laughing (at the book. Not because of it).

It somehow drew me in and was actually incredibly fun to read. Bad characters, romance, plot and all.

Recommended if you are really struggling with a really dark book, or you just want some laughably bad but fun book.

Weird thing is, I'm actually going to check out the next book.

This book held promise, but lack of decent editing made me give up on it about 1/3 of the way through; I was spending too much time mentally correcting "typos" and grammatical errors and not enough time enjoying the story.

It's too bad, because I think the story might have been a fun read, had I not been constantly jarred from it.
Whoa...I kept forgetting I was reading a M/M story a lot. Between the high dramatics, rivers of tears and drama (and Mpreg!) there's a story somewhere in there. When it got to the sex was hot. But I like my men to act like...well, men. This book is definitely more trashy than class but not full garbage.

Apparently I like to live dangerously. I remember liking the first two books of this series when I first read them, so I’ve always wanted to go back and read the full series.

This is an odd story, rife with all the elements that became so grating in its wake. The exhibitionism and sharing, the first person. We also get overly casual speech, virgins and male pregnancy, big tops and little bottoms, people being self-indulgently mopey for the sake of creating conflict, and lots of info-dumping and d
... I started this lunch time... and I kept sneaking a few pages after every file I worked on... perhaps a few more that a few then... Ummm and now I'm finished... and you know what.... I fucking loved it!!!

Yeah its got major spelling and grammar stuff that needs fixing, and the plot was over the top, I kept forgetting it was MM... because frankly it was like reading teen pre porn... you know like getting to second base :)

In the end its warm and fuzzy and just what I wanted in this kind of sto

The premise was interesting but the story felt choppy and sappy and all kinds of just plain odd. A lot of things going on and everything gets solved and everyone's in love by the next page. That type of thing.

This story begins with Cal, a lust demon, in his sex club, feeding off the lust of two men he ends up matchmaking. Later on, he meets Gabe, a runaway virgin Fae sent to seek refuge with his mate. The too immediately begin a strong and heart (and lust) felt relationship, only hours after meeting. Suddenly, a group of "real" demons (as in, the really bad ones, called halfers) appears, raping one of the men Cal had been with earlier. Feeling guilty for being the reason behind the rape, Cal begins a ...more

This was interesting. The characters were all very likeable. It had demons and fairys with a bit of. There were good demons as well as bad demons who were called halfers. The differences between the two were explained. This is the second m-preg book I've read but only the first one that I've read that actually focused on the pregnancy and birth. LOL! It was interesting, but I think there are certain things about the birthing process that don't add to the story and can be left to the imagination. ...more

What do I think?

I think that there was great material for this book. You've got a Fae, and a Succubus, man, person, thingy. If the Author gave these guys some depth - just took that shovel and dug a little (or a lot) deeper, then you'd of had an awesome series. There are a couple of pet peeves for me. Yes, I know, different strokes for different folks, but I just can't stand the share mentality. It drives me bonkers. I guess I'm just possessive of my guys, cuz I'd of had to stab someone or hit s

Cal is a lust demon. He is has been around for a long time. He is seen as a 'good' demon, because he uses his ability to play matchmaker. Though he is a romantic at heart, he (knows) he isn't meant to find a mate. Because a mate would have to be okay with his way of life. In comes Gabe, a (virgin) Fae. Ends up Gabe was sent to be Cal's mate. Gabe is a special type of Fae and his kind is very rare. Cal was chosen and Gabe is quite alright with it. As they work out their relationship, their are ha ...more

I love paranormal romances and Joyee Flynn’s are among my favorites. Lust and Fae is the first in a new series, Anything Goes, and it starts off with a bang.

Ms. Flynn weaves an erotically intriguing tale with the creation of lust demons and Gabe the virgin Fae. I’m a sucker for a man in distress and his savior and Gabe and Cal are exactly that. Cal is a hundreds-of-years–old, lonely lust demon and when he meets Gabe, he develops some very protective feelings he hasn’t experienced before. This le

I actually didn't expect to like this book. A Lust Demon feeds on people's lust, which means he'll have sex with anybody. As I prefer a monogamous relationship, how could I like such book? It turns out, after I accepted the premise that that is what a Lust Demon has to do to live, I started to like the story. Yes, there are abundant amount of sex, but it doesn't mean there's no story here.

I can't even rate it..If I did it would fall in the negative catergory.. This is the first book I've read from this author... and it just was not good, maybe i'll try another series of hers... I don't mind my MCs crying if something tragic happens, but these men were crying all the time and giggling, I literally got sick, I had to force myself to finish... It could have been a brilliant novel... if it wasn't way too sweet and had more depth

This is one of the better Joyee Flynn books that I've read. There are still the old staples of her books, like giggly emotional twinks and strapping men that can't seem to let their mates walk anywhere, but sometimes I'm in the mood for that. And now, after reading many of Joyee Flynn's books, I know what to expect. Still, this story had more worldbuilding and interesting plot. I'm looking forward to reading Lust & Vamp.

The biggest issue that I have with gay erotica is that there is rarely any heft to the plot. This book was no different. We moved from plot point to plot point (sex scene to sex scene), little actual detail is given and some points were left open-ended at the end. Now, that last one could be because this is supposed to be the start of a series (I think), so those open-ended plot points could lead into the next book but as is they just feel forgotten.

Fairly typical of the author, a lighter read. It is fun and funny. This isn't a "serious" book but one that is heart warming:) I enjoyed all the characters and look forward to reading more of Gabe and Cal.

I bought this book because of the reviews that stated how horrible it was. I am pleased to say I don't agree. Yes the character's were over the top but this is a works of the super natural. It was a fun read and I am glad I decided to see what all the fuss was about.

Well, I made it to 36% before I gave up :-\ I just couldn't get into this story...didn't care for the characters at all with the giggling and all over emotions and just...arggg. So frustrating, but at least I didn't waste too much time trying to get to the end of this story.

I think this is a really cute story. A bit to much crying for me but really cute. Oh and I love a book that a man gets to have a baby. It really makes me happy. Cal and Gabe are just perfect together. Even though I had a issue with the crying it's an all around cute story and a must read.

No character development at all. I almost put this book down and did not finish it. The sex was too giggly. I like happy books, a little angst is attractive. Whats with the butt plugs, not attractive to me.
