This was the first book I ever won for free through Goodreads First Reads. It is more than just a gluten free cookbook. the whole beginning is full of all sorts of information and frequently asked questions about gluten free food. Then there are more than 100 recipes sorted by meal type. I was surprised to see the wide selection of gluten free recipes. There are many recipes in there that I would like to try. The back of the book is filled with resources on companies that make gluten free food,...more

Easy Gluten-Free is a very informative book, but the title is a little misleading. I assumed I would be reading a cookbook full of easy recipes, but that was not the case. The book explains how easy it is to live a gluten-free life. This is a great read for anyone newly diagnosed with celiac disease who wants to learn the basics of following a gluten-free diet. Because it comes from the American Dietetic Association (disclosure: I work there), it is authoritative and teaches you how you can eat healthily and with whole grains, while on a gluten-free diet. There's a lot of misinformation out there, but this book is written by knowledgeable registered dietitians who themselves follow a gluten-free diet.
I recieved this as a goodreads first read.
This is an excellent resource for anyone who needs to switch to a gluten free diet or cook for someone who is gluten free. It breaks down all of the basics as to what can/can't be eaten, includes lists of what you'll want to have in your pantry, contains dozens of recipes for a variety of tastes and even lists resources of where to by gluten-free products.
