2.5 stars for this no-brainer story about two people that don’t really do much but have sex here and there, have boohoo sad families, love little kids and want to help them in an aww-shucks-what-a-guy kind of way –time to queue the ol’ spew. Seen too much of that already that.

Here you have the hot babe football star who doesn’t want to be taken for a dumb jock anymore. Then there’s the brainy rich girl who has a successful business. The two had a one night stand back in high school and they have...more

I was hoping for a little more from this, but it is still an ok read. The heroine, Julie, is hired as an image consultant for a NFL quarterback, who turns out to be the boy that broke her heart ten years ago. Julie is an uptight professional, Ty is the sexy playboy. She fights her attraction to him; he wants to spend his life with her instantly. I felt like I didn’t really know the characters and why they were they way they were. Yes I got that her dad was a powerful womanizing jerk, and Ty’s fa...more

Bella Andre writes books that are decidedly spicy, but they don’t quite cross over into erotica for me. The fine line that divides mainstream romance and erotica seems to be becoming ever thinner in the past few years. For me to classify a book as erotica, there needs to be something more than just hot sex. Even a lot of hot sex. For me to use the term erotica, the story must have that ‘something’ extra; an unusual sex act, toys, more than tw...more

4 stars - Contemporary/Sports Romance

First off, could the book's cover model's body be any hotter? This is a quick, light, fluff, fun contemporary/sport romance about playboy star quarterback Ty Calhoun and uptight image consultant Julie Spencer hired to shape up his act. She also happens to be the same smart, goody-two-shoes that got her heart stomped on by the football bad-boy 10 years ago. There's some angst and hot sex, but the writing is pretty simplistic. It earns 4 stars for some steamy s...more

While this book was entertaining, I didn't feel that it had much plot or character development. It was very quick and easy to read, but I was left feeling that something was lacking. The heroine wasn't particularly likeable through most of the book because of the extreme dislike that she had harbored for the hero for ten years. This colored too much of their early interaction for me, and it kept me from feeling much empathy for her. At first, the hero came across as a dissipated bad boy with poo...more

I know what you're thinking. Another sports book? Really?

Okay, here's what I was thinking: "God, I'm tired. I should start reading Blood Rights because Kristen Painter is going to be at Comic-Con this weekend. But I'm tired. And I don't want to stare at my computer screen while I eat my hot pockets. I don't feel like starting a new author right now. I just wanna read. I downloaded those football books last night. Because I liked the one I won, From This Moment On. I read the last one (Game For L...more

Julie and Ty hooked up for one AMAZING night in high school but the morning after turned into a disaster. Ten years later, Ty is a Super Bowl bad boy hero and Julie is the image consultant hired to set him on a 'good boy' path.

Now, I think Bella Andre is a good writer. I like football and I like smut. So this should have been a perfect match. Unfortunately, Julie, who is supposed to be a professional 28 yo woman but acts like a hormonal immature twit with an extra dose of shrill. And really the...more

This was a okay read,no conflicts between Ty-Julie,just that Julie had a crush on Ty in school and he thought she was too good for him but one night they both went ahead and Ty slept with Julie n took her virginity n said some hurtful things to her which made her vow she will never ever see n meet Ty again now its been 10 years,Ty is a Super Bowl player keeps sleeping around with strippers-groupies his pics are being posting in newspapers some lip locking n even worse

Ty had just scored the Superbowl's winning touchdown, then he looked up into the crowds, saw the mess of blonde hair, and his hopes went up - could she have actually came to the game?? See his victory? Then the lady pushed her hair back, and he realized it wasn't Julie, the one girl that got away 10 years ago. Day after day he thought of her, and even while out celebrating his victory, getting drunk, sleeping with women, making the life most would sell their soul for, Ty's life wasn't everything...more

I was so happy to find this in my snail-mailbox that I read it right away.

The best part about the book was the sex (not love) scenes, they were well-written, hot, and also served to move the characters' emotional growth along.

This was a fairly fun romance with a great plot; unfortunately, I never really warmed up to the characters. First of all, they hadn't seen each other for over 10 years, since high school graduation, when she gave him her virginity and her heart and had it broken in less tha...more

This was a nice quick read. I like football and it really gave me a different view of what it must be like for a pro athlete, which is not to say that I already did not view them that way. But again it goes back to reading versus your mind belief

Mixed feelings about this book.

Ty and Julie goes way back when he was just 18, and she gave him herself, her innocence then only to be hurt by him, and some insensitive remarks. Julie hanged on to her dislike of the man and along the way Ty and his wild ways makes it very easy to hate him except that there's more beneath the man than that 'jock-bad-guy' exterior. So all this are ok, good premise, good set up and the two H&H danced around each other, playing with fire and fanning their attrac...more

Ty is a famous football star. He has everything he's always wanted. Yet, it seems like there has been something missing in his life. No matter how many women he sees, he can't help but compare them to Julie, a high school classmate whom he had an incredible night with and who he let walk away from him. He takes his work as a football player very seriously, but he can't help party and doesn't really care if his picture is taken with girls on his lap or making out with them.

Julie can't forget Ty,...more

MySpace love the cover... Ty Calhoun bad boys banget suka party etc dan buat New owner football Team suntuk. Maka utk menjaga image maka di hired lah Julie Spencer owner PR yang profesional dan ternyata ada story masalalu dgn Ty. Sebenarnya ceritanya lumayan apalagi kalo anda2..kamu2 pencinta Sport Romance seperti aku. Yang paling berkesan waktu Ty sengaja buat "Nakal" agar Julie mau menangani nya langsung dan bukan asistennya. Hehehe Bad boy banget dah. Tapi sayang Endingnya menurutku serasa agak ane...more

My Review:
I really enjoy the sports-centered books. This one is about Ty, quarterback for the Superbowl-winning Outlaws.

I loved Julie's character. She came from money, but not necessarily a good home life. She has built her career and business entirely on her own. She knows how to handle and work people and is totally confident about herself and her own abilities until she gets around Ty and then she tends to melt into a hormonal puddle.

It is a nice, short story but it had potential to be so much better. The first issue I had with it, is that too many words were spent on sex scenes... I have no problem with sex scenes, far from it, but the book is already short, so I think that space would had been better spent developing the characters and the story. That way, it would have been easier to connect and understand them, because the little I got from Ty and Julie, felt rushed. The way to their first high-school time was rushed wit...more

How fun! I was a little disappointed there wasn't more football action in this book - but the romance was Great!

Ty had just scored the Superbowl's winning touchdown - life couldn't get better than it was right now! Then he looked up into the crowds, saw the mess of blonde hair, and his hopes soared - could she have actually came to the game?? See his victory?? Then the lady pushed her hair back, and he realized it wasn't Julie - the one girl that got away 10 years ago. Day after day he thought...more

I am a huge fan of Bella Andre! I have enjoyed reading the other two books from her trilogy Bad Boys Of Football and this one was no different.

And aside from being a Bella Andre fan, I’m also into sports-centered books. In this book, it features Tyler’s story, the boy from the wrong side of the tracks who meets the girl from the right side of the tracks. And they have one night of explosive and mind-blowing sex.

My Casting:

Tyler Calhoun is the super-hot, sexy and the bad-boy quarterback for the S...more

I liked the story.. how Ty did not take it from her and did his best to get her...
although I can not get the female characters that are thinking one thing.. and then doing the exact opposite... that is quite annoying!
be true to yourself! come on!

pages and pages of "he is an ass, I hate him..." bla bla bla.. and then when he makes a little bit of a move, she runs to his arms like nothing...
yeah right!

although I have to admit that there is some reality in the fact that it does not matter how much...more

There was only one boy that Julie Spencer had a crush on in high school Ty Calhoun, and on graduation night he finally noticed her and she gave him everything she had to offer, and then he threw it back in her face and left her humiliated.

Ten years later Superbowl star Ty is in need of a makeover, his off the field activities have gotten him in trouble with the new owner and they want a image consultant to come in and do the job, when Ty realizes it is Julie he is on board. He has never forgotte...more

Reading a sports novel is always a risk, so few things can be done to introduce characters. But this was good it's a typical bad boy meets PR agent, OK image consultant but whatever.
This combined that really well with a history and the insecurities that both Ty and Julie have over themselves and the past. There's also the steaming hot attraction between them and the way that Ty matures as a person that makes this stand out amongst so many others.

I didn't like the part at the end of the novel whe...more

Great escapist romance! The Super Bowl winning quarterback needs his image polished; the image consultant needs to fee to smooth the move into her new building. Unfortunately, Ty and Julie have a history. They had a one-night stand and graduation night but misunderstandings separated them the next morning. Both have had other relationships but nothing has measured up for either of them. They meet and the desire is rekindled but Julie is reluctant to risk her heart again. Ty has to finally work h...more

My summary of the book - Bad boy Ty is need of an image makeover and his new boss calls in Julie Spencer, the one he seduced 10 years previously. Julie is determined to get the job done while keeping it strictly business between her and Ty but when she sees him again the heat from seeing him causes her body to want him. Somehow after Ty getting into trouble again they have to spend two weeks together to mend his image. Can Ty win Julie this time and really show who he really is. Can Julie keep h...more

I was in the mood recently for a good football romance. Having been a lover of football for years, recently some changes to my favorite team left me moody and I wanted some feel good romance in the football genre to cheer me up. When I went looking everyone was recommending Bella Andre’s Bad Boys of Football. I had some reservations. Not because of the author or even the book, but because of the price. See the book is approximately 300 pages, but t...more

I just didn't like it. There's only so much of 'i want him but i shouldn't' or 'i want him but can't let him know it' that i can take. Julie has a history with Ty that ended badly. Ten years later, they meet again. He realizes quite quickly that he has always loved her despite not seeing her for 10 years. It clicks in his head that she is his one and only. I believe in love at first sight, but this is just a bit much.

I forced myself to finish. Since I've heard so many good things about this ser...more

Bad Boys of Football is just a spin off of so many other books around this topic. My favourite type of romances are those which are connected with second chances. When people meet when they are young and when they discover how much they've grown. Most of the time I find it endearing if it's written good.

Some are, some are not. Game for Anything wasn't because it was too fast, gave answers too quickly and melted my enthusiasm too sharply. She hated him too much, gave herself too naively, he didn'...more

New York Times andUSA Today bestselling author Bella Andre has always been a writer. Songs came first, and then non-fiction books, but as soon as she started writing her first romance novel, she knew she’d found her perfect career. Known for “sensual, empowered stories enveloped in heady romance” (Publishers Weekly) about sizzling alpha heroes and the strong women they’ll love forever, nearly all...more
