Georgia Hotchkiss swore wild horses couldn't drag her back to Sundance, Wyoming. So it's ironic she's forced to take a rodeo PR job in her former hometown right before her ten-year class reunion. The only thing worse than facing her cheating ex-husband and his pregnant wife? S...more

Georgia and Tell sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G”…..if you remember that little ditty from when you were a kid and how much fun you had singing it with your friends, then the latest installment of the Rough Rider series will have you smiling and feeling just like a kid again! Lorelei James did not disappoint with the fun-loving Tell McKay!

I had so much fun with this book. It was light-hearted, fun, filled with HOT McKay sex and, of co...more

#13 read and I still love the series as much as I did when I first started. These books continue the story of the infamous McKay family while focusing on an individual cowboy. I love that the characters from the other books carry over and you get to see what all our favorite rowdy cowboys are up to. I loved getting to know Tell & Georgia. I knew he would be a favorite of mine just by the glimpses in the other books, and I was not dissapointed. As usual, Jame's characters are well developed,...more

Oh how I've missed the McKay boys!! I loved Tell! I always love a "get the girl you loved in high school" story. It was a sweet and very steamy read! My only complaint was that in the end I wanted more!

FANFUCKINGTASTIC
Yes I swore. In bold and Italic SHOUTY CAPITALS. I will do it a lot more in this so read no further if you don’t like it.

I mean come on I just read the goddess/fucking genius/ amazeballsness that is Lorelei James latest book.
I have been waiting to get my LJ's Rough Riders fix for what feels like FOREVER!
So when I woke up and turned on “Chase” (my kindle) and saw that it was finally there it was the BEST.DAY.EVER.! I abruptly took myself to the beach and parked my ass to g...more

"Don't think for a second that you're not adventurous. That you're anything less than fucking perfect."
And that's when she fell in love with him.

This book is all about Tell. And he is one hot cowboy who knows how to eat his ice cream *blush*

And we get to spend a lot of time with all the delicious McKays.

As calm as he appeared on the outside, on the inside his inner teenage boy was yelling, in your face, suckas, this girl is mine!

I love this series and this was no exception! I loved Tell right away... even though he is a man-whore! Many series that have this many books with so many characters start to get dull and lackluster, but not the Rough Riders! Ms. James knows how to keep it fresh & feisty!

3.00 Stars - Contemporary Western Erotic Romance .

This one was too predictable. Not much thrilling or exciting or nail-biting going on around here. Somewhere along the line it had nothing new to add. The blurb says it all. You pretty much understand and know where things were going and where it’ll all end up. But, having said that, Ms James is a superb writer who knows how to put words in the right direction to make a less than ordinary story into a work of western art.

Few previous characters r...more

Let me just say Tell McKay is one large hunk of yummyness! ;) The geek turned hottie playboy and the ex-virgin cheerleader sure do spark fire. Although their relationship was very juvenile and most arguments could have easily been solved, I guess that was the point. The insecurity, isolation and judgement doesn't end after high school. This may sound extremely shallow but I preferred the sex to their actual relationship. I loved everything about the book except the actual romance part. I see the...more

I’m not going to lie, I have my favorite McKays. But I have to admit, the McKay cousins haven’t always thrilled me so I was really hoping Tell McKay would bring it. He already had a strike against him because I sometimes dislike heroes and heroines who suffer from middle child syndrome. It rarely works for me. So poor ol’ Tell had his work cut out for him. As it turns out, he was up for the challenge and he turned on the McKay charm and had me at the lube in the sh...more

3.5 Stars. It was cute, sexy, and a lot of fun. Everything you've come to expect from a Rough Riders story. Unfortunately, it was too much like the last few RR's; and they all begin to run together a bit. I think this one revisited just about every couple from every book in the series. I don't think hardly anyone got left out; except for maybe Colby and Channing, and Cash and Gemma. Most everyone else got at least a shout-out. Some of these bits were cute, some were corny; and the one about Chas...more

This book has been out a long time and I just couldn't seem to pull it together to review it. Not that I'm conflicted, it's a solid 3, but that it's annoying.

Basically this is the story of Tell and Georgia. They knew each other in high school when she was a cheerleader and he was a bit of a loser. Not a lot of money or sports participation and too smart for the redneck set so Tell tended to be less popular than the typical McKay. Georgia appeared popular but actually stood in the shadow of her d...more

Like all of her fans, I’m so happy that Lorelei James writes like a speed demon. We never seem to go a long period of time without a story about her larger-than-life, lusty, and family-minded characters. Thank the heavens for all those stories floating around in her imagination.

Tell McKay had a huge crush on Georgia Hotchkiss in high school. He sat behind her in class, and his overactive imagination let the teenage fantasies run wild. Over and over again he allowed Georgia to use him until he’d...more

4.5 out of 5. As readers continue on with the extended McKay family members, it is a never ending wonder to me at how this author seems to be able to give each of these siblings/cousins such distinctive personalities and to build on the clues to their persona found in previous novels. Once again we meet one of Casper KcKay's boys, a father who is just plain mean and nasty, who must have been cheated out of love or a sense of place in his family of origin, whose actions toward wife and sons is un...more

This is one of my favorite series that I've come across recently. My mom turned me onto the McKay's and I haven't stopped reading since. Those McKay men sure are something. Though I will be honest...This is not my most favorite book in the series. I'm not saying it's a bad book because it's not at all...It just didn't live up to some of the expectations that I had going into this book.

I really liked our main character's Tell McKay and Georgia Hotchkiss as individuals. As a couple I was pre...more
Jenese (Readers Confession)
First off, I must say that Tell has captured my heart and slid into being my favorite McKay. Tell McKay is cursed with the middle child syndrome. He feels like he's not good enough and the family issues haven't ended even though his parents got divorced. Even though he was a late bloomer, he has upheld his duty as a McKay in the women department. He has those McKay blue eyes, dimples and hard body. Women in Sundance and all around are throwing themselves at Tell McKay and he's not afraid to admi...more

For anyone who felt awkward in high school and dreamed of dating someone you were sure would turn you down. And for everyone who has gone to a class reunion with butterflies in your stomach, waiting to see if everyone else has changed as much as you have. And for all those girls who dream of finding your own cowboy. Kissin’ Tell is so for you.

I attempted to read Kissin' Tell (Rough Riders #13) by Lorelei James this weekend. Ugh! I DNFed it. The "hero" was a man slut who couldn't remember the names of the women he slept with. The heroine was a horndog who was pissed at the hero for treating her with respect and consideration instead of boinking her the first chance he got. Ooooooo-kay. I hated them separately. I hated them together. I hated the storyline (a repeat of the same old "blackmail you into sleeping with me" thing that I'...more

More like 3.5 stars.
This is book 13 of this series and the first I've read.
Georgia returns to her hometown of Sundance, Wyoming for the summer as a PR rep for the rodeo. She never had any intention of going to her 10 year high school reunion. However, now that she's moved back to town, she feels like she has no choice but to go. That means she'll be seeing her ex-husband and his pregnant wife. Worse, she doesn't have a date to the reunion. Enter Tell McKay.
Tell had it bad for her in high school....more

Tell has had a crush on Georgia Hotchkiss since High School. As his ten year reunion approaches, Tell has a unique opportunity presented to him by his former crush. Georgia needs a date to the reunion, where coincidentally, her ex-husband and former rival of Tell, will be also attending. Needless to say, it doesn’t take long for Tell to accept...and being this is the infamous Lorelei James, it doesn’t take too lon...more

”…I don’t kiss and Tell.”

What can I say, I love the Rough Riders, can I please have my own ?!? The McKay’s are my alpha-cowboys who have all the tricks to make the girl's s-cream . So far, I haven’t been disappointed with any of the books in the series and this is one is no different …

Tell is a McKay, fun-loving-bad-boy-hottie, with *dimples* Georgia is Tell’s high-school-fantasy, ten years later they find themselves back together helping each other in and out of the bedroom … Tell sh

Second chances and high school dreams realized lends another success to a favorite old series

Kissin’ Tell, the 13th installment in the beloved erotic romance western series and family saga, introduces Tell McKay, the one McKay cowboy perhaps overshadowed and overlooked in the midst of his robust family, but whose story shows that it’s never too late to get the dream girl. This heartwarming tale opens with a universal high s...more

I received a copy of KISSIN' TELL early as part of the Stetsons and Smexin' with Tell Blog Tour. I've been looking forward to this release. But then again, I guess that's not much of a surprise since I look forward to all of Lorelei's books.

Tell was the most laid back of all the McKay men so far. This was a little surprising after Cowboy Casanova which starred Ben McKay. But that's not to say his story is bad...cuz it's not. It's far from that. Tell is fun-loving and entertaining. But beneath a...more

Let me start off by saying that while I adore the Rough Riders series and Lorelei James, there are definitely books in the series that are better than others...and then there are books like this one: Mediocre. A little regurgitated. Slow. In short, boring.

I love the McKays and the Wests and the cousins and the friends and the whole big sexy family lol and so of course I'm going to read every book in the series. I think the author has done a wonderful job of creating this family that makes you w...more

Tell McKay is the sweetest cowboy of Casper's family.
All this high school thing was very romantic and great to me.
The only thing that bothered me was the fact that his parents still remain the same.
Of course that Casper still the same asshole but Joan surprised me,now she just has eyes for her boyfriend and Landon.
What about Tell and Dalton? And even Brandt?
What a selfish woman! She became a awful mother.
At least Georgia's dad changed, but I hate him since the beginning.

I can't wait for Dalton's...more

As long as Lorelei James writes books, I will read them. That being said… this one was just okay. I’m not real crazy about this branch of the McKay family to start with and nothing about Tell, Brandt, Jessie, Dalton, Casper, or Joan in this book did anything to change that. Tell came off as being a bit of a man-whore and a pushover, and I didn’t care all that much for his love interest, Georgia “angry and checked out since high school” Hotchkiss, either. Plus, the ultimate kiss of death: the sex...more

I have been in love with the McKay's since the beginning, but I have to say this latest installment was by far my favorite. Tell McKay has been in love with Georgia Hodgekiss since high school. Georgia barely knew Tell existed, he was smart, lanky and very un-McKay like. Ten years go by and Tell is a changed man, a hot cowboy (of course following in the footsteps of his predecessor McKay's). Georgia has also changed, no longer the cheerleader, she returns to her hometown, shy, withdrawn, and jus...more

2 Stars for the front half I am nicknaming the "cheese section" for its cheesy dialog and clunky bits.
4 Stars for the back end which I am nicknaming the "yes please" section because it developed into a wonderful, signature LJ story that I've grown to love.

With this series, LJ offers something that's rarely tackled in fiction and even more rarely successful: She has developed a cohesive, true-to-life, familial, cultural and economic infrastructure and weaves it really well throughout each narrat...more

Georgia was the Hot cheerleader in High school that Tell was in lust with but she was already taken so he could just lust for her from afar. 10 years later Georgia comes back to Sundance & it happens to be their 10 year reunion. She decides she wants to go with Tell to stick it to her ex-husband & Tell is all to willing. At first you really can't believe that Tell would give her the time of day since she snubbed him back in high school but as the story goes on your realizes things aren't...more

This was one HOT, Steamy, Sexy, Western Romance Book...that I had a hard time putting down. I found myself fanning myself several times during parts of the book that was really EROTIC. OMG!
Lorelei James is one author who can make a "Book Mama" smile, giggle, and squirm.

I really loved this story, it was beautiful and freeing. I had an instant emotional attachment to the characters. The writing was smooth and helped us transition onto each new phase that came along in the book. The novel was based on a hero and heroine that knew each other in high school. The heroine married the high school star, then her brother died, she divorced the 'star' and went and made her life in Dallas. Upon coming back to town, she runs into the hero and they hook up but it quickly tu...more
