This book is a compilation of short stories starting with the witty "The Madame Lazonga Defense". Some of the stories are quite funny and interesting, others are not as funny but still compelling, and few are none of the above. But to be honest, I think this is the perfect book to read on transports and each story will keep you company and make you smile for a couple of minutes. Some will even hit you right in your gut! This is such a great book. The stories are short, but very enjoyable. I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions. They are as easy-to-read as they are entertaining and this would be a great book to read on the subway or while waiting for your airplane. You can read it in short bursts or all at once.
