SPOILER WARNING

A trashterpiece of epic proportions! I could read this series forever, so it's definitely sad to see it end; however, surely it's good news for all of the fictional characters who would have died at the hands of Ariana in books to come!

One of the things that has made Ariana sympathetic (aside from the books being told from her perspective, forcing our complicity) is that each of her past crimes had a panicked, frightened feel to it. They came out of uncontrollable rage and terro

I was actually sad to see this series end. Even though my blood pressure would skyrocket as I read about Ariana's secrets and cover-ups to her murders, it became fascinating to watch how Ariana always managed to "land on her feet" (in her words). It was also interesting to try understand a psychopath's thought process. Here she was, with everything going right, everything in life just waiting for her to reach out and grab it, but her obsession with covering up her tracks and killing the one pers ...more

Cruel Love is the sixth and final book in the Privilege series.

In Cruel Love, Ariana Osgood (under the guise as Briana Leigh Covington) once again has to fight for her new privileged life. When her false life starts to unravel due to her previous actions, she decides to take actions. After Lexa's unfortunate death, Ariana rises to the top of Atherton-Pryce Hall and is guarenteed an admission into Princeton, but when Dr. Meloni, the psychologist from the prison. starts working as a grief counsel

Kate Brian set us up from the beginning. Ariana was always meant to die. She escaped prision, she killed Brianna Leigh and she unleashed Kaitlynn Nottingham on the world. And in return she got to attend the best school, join an exclusive society, got the hottest guys and the best opportunities. It was only a matter of time before Karma set in and everything came crashing down. Every time Ariana did something unforgivable she always found a way to blame someone else, which was usually Reed. Call me crazy but in books 1-5 I loved Ariana and sympathized with her character. I wanted Ariana to be successful as Briana Leigh and walk off into the sunset as a Princeton freshman hand -in- hand with Jasper. That all changed in this final book. Without Kaitlyn to make her seem like the sane one, She was just the annoying psycho path she has always been. With the murder of Lexi and her obsession with Reed I began to turn against Ariana, which may have been the authors purpose. It's harded to ...more

This is the last book in the Privilege series, and I'm kinda sad about it! I liked Ariana even though she was totally insane. I wish there was more action in this one, and I'd have liked a more dramatic ending but the ending was still pretty good. I'm just confused about how the Private series is going to go because Noelle and Reed from that series are a part of this one and this series takes place much farther from where that series is, if that makes sense. I hope Kate Brian begins another seri ...more

I'm so mad that this series is over. Way more entertaining than the Private series. It really shouldn't be so much fun to read about a psychopathic murdering teenager :)

***SPOILERS ALERT!***
Ok, wow. I finished the last 2 books of this series in the same day. I don't really think it's because they were just so good that I refused to stop, but because in the end I wanted to say I'M FREE!

Haha, so yes, I was very excited to finish the series because I'm FREE. I mean, I've been stuck with Brian's books since the beginning of summer all the way to November! I read a couple of other books along the way, but I had never fully completed the Private/Privilege series unt

In the final jaw dropping Privilege novel, Ariana Osgood will face her fate. I was anxiously awaiting this novel since about October when I read and reviewed the two previous books in the series. Although I was confused with the timing of this book coming out before the final PRIVATE novel which is set to come out in the fall (it doesn’t make sense chronologically) I was still very excited to see what would happen to Ariana.

In this last installment, we pick up right where we left off. Ariana’s n

I can't believe this is over. I seriously thought, after reading an initial synopsis of the last book, that it would end with Ariana disappearing to some distant country with Jasper and start a new life away from everyone from her past life there. I wanted that so bad for her; a second chance. Because that's all she's ever wanted; to be loved and to get the life that she deserved.

Below is my review for the entire Privilege series. This review doesn't contain any spoilers!!

Kate Brian’s Privilege series is a nail-biting spin-off of the Private series. This series is built around Ariana Osgood, who in the Private series murdered her ex-boyfriend (Thomas Pearson) for falling for another girl (Reed Brennan). Subsequently, Ariana attempts, but fails, to kill Reed Brennan, landing her in the Brenda T. Trumbull

I am really sad to see this series go, I really enjoyed being in the mind of the chaotic and totally crazy Ariana Osgood. One of the things I love about Ariana is that she sees reason in all the killing she does. There's always a really important and totally logical explanation for each death. That is how you know she is truly a crazy person. Ariana has a way of always getting what she wants no matter the cost. While I'm sad to see this series go, I am happy that it isn't being drawn out like th ...more

Wow... I can't believe that this series is over. It was so addicting, and I have to admit that I'm going to miss Ariana and her deadly shananagins.

It was really easy to read this one because you knew that all of this was going to end somehow, but how? I kept guessing wrong.

I hate to admit it, but I was totally rooting Ariana on in her misdemeanors. I was so nervous for her always and wanting her to get away with it all. My conscience hardly came in to say, "But she just murdered someone." I gu

What an ending! It's always depressing to see a book series end, especially this spinoff, seeing as I got so attached to it. I definitely didn't see the events in this book happening, and I have to give Kate Brian a lot of credit for tying the loose ends so perfectly together. I hope the Private series turns out more like this, because it my opinion it's starting to get a little over-theatrical and, well, stupid.
In an odd way, Ariana is one of my favorite characters of all time. How easily she

REALLY?!?!?! okay so I was not expecting THAT ending!! What is the point?? She goes through 6 books of making the perfect, flaw-less life for herself and SPOILER- ruins it all because of a simple grudge. Dude, that doctor guy was obviously kinda necessary (although there is always a way around killing) and if she had just left without trying to get her revenge on Reed, she would be pretty much home-free on a plane to one of her alternate homes cause she is rich. She makes a single mistake and t ...more

Like another reviewer said, my issue with this book is "Personality Transplants". All around.

Some were slow happening (the Alpha Bitch) others were sudden, like Palmer and the protagonist herself, who, instead of the resourceful, human and very very flawed person she was in the first book, she became a parody of herself (I suspect that the author just wanted to be done with the series, which also explains the dangling plot threads).

I didn't mind so much how the book ended, but rather that it fel

This was possibly the best book out of the whole series. While you may get annoyed, disgusted & frustrated with Ariana - I do love a good ending.

Writing a psychotic, insane, murder is very hard for a writer because you (that is if you're a good decent person), don't want to imagine the horrors they commit & how they think. Brian gets it down to the note, Ariana justifying her killing rampages & how she constantly feels guilty.

I'm really surprised with how Reed handled Ariana coming a

Overall rating for the Privilege series: 4

Ariana is the girl you love to hate. The girl that makes your heart ache from all the suffering she's been through, and makes your heart race like crazy for how sick and twisted she is.

Even though she's freakin' crazy, I love her. I love her even more than Reed Brennan. And it was a sad, cruel ending fitting for someone like Ariana.

No matter how much I sympathized with her, rooting for her til the very end, she's still a murderer. And no matter how much
