2.5 Stars. Freebie. This novella didn't do much for me. The leads, Shannon and Rafe, were a nice enough couple, and I'm glad they got their HEA. The story, however, was a bit on the dumbed down side. With the Slime Demon and the cemetery shenanigans, it read like something out of an episode of Scooby Doo.

Having read Winters Kiss, I decided to find another Felicity Heaton book to see if she is a consistently good writer, and came across 'Vampire for Christmas' as a free download so thought I would give it a try as the previous book by her was so good. I thought this was a good storyline, with a clear build up of the situation and exploration of the characters history. Felicity Heaton offers us a good erotic paranormal holiday romance. I didn’t enjoy it as much as Heart of Darkness that I’ve read last month though but it’s still a really pleasant read.

I really enjoyed this novella. It moved quickly, but since the characters had known each other for a couple of years and were finally choosing to act on their feelings it made sense. I like the world that Felicity Heaton has created. It makes sense to me. Maybe it's from all those years of watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer but I can totally get behind a shadowy agency dedicated to keeping the clueless mortals safe from the nasty demons that are running around.

I love Felicity Heaton's books! This story is no exception!

Guilty pleasure… yep, I admit it. That was the sole reason why I finally caved and downloaded this book. Come on, with at title like Vampire for Christmas, what else would you read it for? Really? Well, leave it to Felicity Heaton to give you more than you bargained for. ;)

A fairly typical sort of vampire-human love story where one or both of them are fighting their feelings for the other, with a dash of Ghostbusters thrown in to add a bit of action. Both characters are likeable enough, but I wasn't really feeling any connection between them until the very end. A Vampire For Christmas is a lovely sexy paranormal novella. The characters Shannon and Rafe are appropriately gorgeous and have personalities that the reader can easily respond to and expect from this genre. The pace is fast, and kept me appropriately hooked. And overall the novella was well crafted.

A vampire and an vampire attack victim put together to track down and kill monsters. Both have feelings for each other. The heroine supresses her feelings because of what happened to her in the past, the hero supresses his feelings because he doesn't want to scare her away. In the end, she begins to realize it's not his fault or doing what happened to her, and lets him in.

OK Christmas is over and has been... but I just found it. So i read it. I am so glad i did. This was an awesome book. I just love the way Felicity spins a tale. Her characters are Shannon, a vampire hunter who is on her final mission, and who appears to be a tiny 10' tall gal. Her last mission is Rafe who falls in love with Shannon. But Shannon isn't with the idea. I'm not sure if its a fast moving book, or if i just read it fast. lol Either way, it was a winner in my book. I gave it a 5 star on...more

I read this book, like its werewolf (somewhat) counterpart, simple because of its Christmas theme.
I have to say I was impressed that Felicity Heaton left me wanting more, more and more. After some searching, I was disappointed to find that the short is just that.... short. Nothing more to the story, unless her subconscious picks up the story and wields one of its own when FH least expects it.
Felicity Heaton having caught my attention will be among the authors I'll be reading in 2013.

Cute little love story.
Vampire and human both loving each other for years, neither wanting to make the first move.
Rafe was a vampire with morals. And Shannon was a weary and angry human. Over time she came to love her partner.
I liked it.
Loved the goo monster. Some funny one liners.
A free read with I really enjoyed. (But not enough for 4 stars)
Will go look for more of the authors work.

Very satisfying short holiday novella, I really enjoyed ever minute of it. This is going to be a short review because the book description says enough already, so I wont be going to spoil any detail of the story. I enjoyed reading the story and both Rafe and Shannon as characters. There is more story then sex, but once you get to the sex its hot. You’ll also find a hot shower scene. I would suggest this book to anyone that reads paranormal romance or erotic romance.
I really enjoyed this book, it was a quick easy fairly lighthearted read, the characters were fleshed out with some interesting backstory, and the antics with the slimy demon were entertaining, I love that Raife was such a gentleman and doesn't go all he-man on her..I will read more from this writer if the style is the same...
Didn't work for me. The story seemed like rough notes for a longer novel.
It wasn't bad and the beginning was promising but then it got really weird. On moment she wanted to kill her partner the next she dreamed about him. She had all those feelings boiling inside and the suddenly all these conflicting feelings were gone.

A very sweet story of desire and love between Rafe and Shannon. Shannon a demon hunter and Rafe a vampire working together and secretely being attracted to one another. I personally can say that this was a nice short story and I liked reading it and there was a lot of action that was up beat. I like that in a relatively short amount of pages that there is backstory to the whole thing. I like both Shannon and Rafe and would recommend this if you like a short story.
I'll admit that this particular book didn't grab me. I don't know why, it just didn't.

The best thing about this book is the cover. As a rule I'm not a lover of short stories but the book was free so I gave it a chance. To sum everything up in one word...lame. It gets better the closer you get to the end. If you enjoy reading about a love sick vampire this book is for you.
This was OK. I'm glad it was short because I don't think I could have read a full length novel not that the characters weren't interesting; they were. But they just weren't fully developed and I wish I could have seen the slow development of the change that took place.

Ik so I have to remember that this was a short novel, because just chasing after one demon really short. The demon only made maybe 3 apperances in total the rest of the story was about how Rafe was fightijng the need to touch Shannon and how she was regretting for asking the agency to give her a new partner. Its a good book to read if you are waiting for a new book to come out in your series.
