Oh, oh, oh! I just have one thing to say about this novel, wow.
This one was sooo much better than the first (and the first was amazing), and if I had any questions or doubts or misgivings about this series, they were completely destroyed by Quest.

First off, Kishan. Most bad-boys in novels always stay aloof, and I know that they are supposed to be irritating like that, but most YA novels have crossed the line, heck, practically leaped over it, and have annoyed me soo much that I've just wanted to...more

Yes, I realize I am in the minority of people who hate this book. But I do have reasons. It is not just because I am bored and want to go trolling. I happened to find Kelsey extremely annoying, her "voice" as a teenager very unrealistic, the "devoted good boy and ultimate bad boy I must choose from" to be an overly used cliche, and the books had a dragging plot and what I like to call an absent villain. (Remember what I say: a book is only as good as its villain. You know it to be true.) Okay......more Yes, I realize I am in the minority of people who hate this book. But I do have reasons. Basically, I already knew that I was going to hate it. You may ask yourself, "well, then, she must be an idiot for reading the darn thing" but lemme get to that. I read it cuz I needed to see if I was "right" (see my opinion on Tiger's Curse to read my prediction on what would happen with Ren, Kishan, and Kelsey). P.S. I WAS RIGHT. STUPID LOVE TRIANGLE 101. Actually, it was even WORSE than I predicted (if possible) because the entire first part of the book (about 7 LOOOONG chapters...) is just Kelsey moping, Kelsey buying a stuffed white tiger because she misses Ren, Kelsey hating on herself and thinking that she is "un-date-worthy" even though 5 guys literally all ask her out in the same chapter. And then she GOES on all the DATES??? What kind of person DOES that? SHE DATES THREE (four if you are counting Ren, which I guess I wasn't since they "broke up") GUYS AT THE SAME TIME AND FOR SOME STRANGE REASON IT IS SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE BECAUSE "I AM THE AMAZING KELSEY, FEAR ME"???

WHAT?

I have a theory. This book was "written" for people with low self esteems. Who need to "feel what Kelsey feels" even though I would classify her more as a person with multiple personality disorder. If you are seriously depressed or have low self esteem, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. It is a trick. A trap. It will make you feel worse about yourself because Kelsey is "normal" but all these crazy weird dating things happen to her which WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN REALITY.

Kelsey: "Oh Ren, I never want to see you again because I am not good enough for you and you will find other 'better' girls and forget all about me."

---ONE CHAPTER LATER-----

K: "I MISS REN SO MUCH!!!" (sobs uncontrollably) "I will buy a stuffed tiger to sleep with and remember him...."

---ANOTHER CHAPTER LATER----

K: "Now Ren is back! And I am going to start dating him again even though I am already going out (some random guy named) Li. And I am going to spend 3 chapters trying to convince him to kiss me (? what? what is this???) and let him and Li literally try and FIGHT EACH OTHER TO THE DEATH over me."

(WARNING TO ALL LOVE STRUCK TEENAGE GIRLS. DESPITE WHAT AUTHORS ARE DOING TO YOUR YOUNG AND IMPRESSIONABLE MINDS, THE TRUTH IS THAT NO, NO BOYS DO NOT TRY TO FIGHT ONE ANOTHER TO THE DEATH OVER GIRLS. MAYBE A FEW PUNCHES, BUT NOT TO THE DEATH. ALSO, A TIP: DO NOT DATE 3(4) GUYS AT ONCE. THAT IS JUST PLAIN WRONG EVEN IF YOU ARE A "SHY WALLFLOWER GIRL")

And another thing. She dates multiple guys and then has a problem when they get JEALOUS OF ONE ANOTHER??? Does this make ANY SENSE AT ALLLLL? Answer: No. It doesn't.

FINALLY.....she breaks up with Li (and for some strange reason, he accepts this and has no problem with it because he "respects Ren cuz he's a good fighter. ???) And then.....We get about 3 more chapters of them "dating" at Christmas and "dating at new Years" and then Ren takes her on some special Valentines day thing and it's then that we learn that he also INVITED HIS BROTHER TO THE UNITED STATES TO HELP "PROTECT HER"???? Does this make any sense at all? Is there any reason why Kishan is there other than to be a third wheel and also fall in love with Kelsey? Isn't this just a repeat of their past with Yesebai (whatever her name is)? Let me just remind everyone that the last girl they fought over wound up DEAD.

Just throwing that out there.

...Enough of that. Anywho, when I got to the point that "Kishan saves Kelsey and Ren sacrifices himself to be captured and *implied* tortured so that they can get away....I basically stopped reading for content and then started scanning the book for any references to food (because I was hungry). I didn't fail to notice, however, that although Ren is probably being tortured to death (and Kelsey still swears to love him) she still has the gall to flirt with his younger brother. WHAT IS THAT??? ARE WE SUPPOSED TO LIKE THIS MAIN CHARACTER? Because honestly, I wanted one of them to transform into a tiger and eat her. That would be the end, no more love triangles, and everyone goes home happy. (By everyone, I mean me.)

In general? This love triangle=fail. Kelsey+Kishan+Renn=fail. This entire book=fail. In fact, there really are no words at all to truly describe how BAD it is.

And now it is time to address the ridiculous amount of plot holes in this/these books. It seems to me that every time Ms. Houck runs out of something to write about, she creates a random conflict to insert as a side plot--of course, these conflicts don't really have anything to do with the rest of the plot at all and are virtually unsolvable without going into fifteen or sixteen more chapters of detail. So...whats an author to do? We can't bore those poor young fan girls with an ACTUAL PLOT!!! WE MUST ENTERTAIN THEM WITH LENGTHY DESCRIPTIONS OF HOW HOT ALL THE BOYS IN THE BOOK ARE!!

Ah, not to worry, I have a solution: we'll just have Mr. Kadam fix it. Because that's what we keep him around here for anyways. Need a plane ride? Kadam. Need to convince your foster parents to let you go to India again? Kadam. Need to learn how to fight? Kadam. Worried about your foster family getting killed because you were STUPID and screwed around with some curse? Ah, not to worry: Mr. Kadam sent them some sort of trip to Hawaii in the mail and made them leave THAT VERY NIGHT WITH VERY LITTLE WARNING. And...of course they listened and trusted this almost complete stranger because, hey, he's Mr. Kadam. Why not?

Okay. Rant almost over. I even kept it fairly short this time. I just have one last overall thing to mention that is pissing me off: SARAH NEILSON.

I'd swear, if there wasn't that little disclaimer about "any resemblance to any persons living or dead is purely coincidental", I would sue the pants off of Ms. Houck. I feel like before writing these books, she stalked me for a few weeks, took all of the random traits about me and made them look ridiculous and mocking, and....aged me about 20-25 years.

1. Sarah Neilson...my name is Sarah Nelson. 'Kay, at first I thought that this was just weird. But then....

2. Food. Sarah bakes crazy gluten free sugar free substances. So do I. But, guess what Ms. Houck? THEY TASTE PRETTY SPANKIN' GOOD AND THEY ARE ACTUALLY HEALTHY FOR YOU. And it is not just my family who says this. Random house guests who steal things from the treat drawer and fridge say this. Friends of the family say this (and trust me, they would not have said anything if they didn't mean it.) What is this sudden kick with writers to bash people on healthy diets? Is it to make fat people feel better? Rick Riordan does it too when he talks about gluten free cupcakes acting like bricks for rebuilding. Haha. You're very funny, all you authors out there. Bet you didn't know that about 7/10 of our society has a gluten intolerance of some sort. So you just lost 70% of your potential readers. (And therefore, buyers. Haha.) Lesson to be learned? Do not bash gluten free people if you have not done your research (which you guys clearly have not).

YES, THESE ARE GLUTEN AND SUGAR FREE. NEED I SAY MORE??

3. The crazy running thing? Also me. Because running is AN ADDICTION. And it is awesome, and people do not appreciate it enough. People in books with no training in running seem to be able to run like crazy whenever they feel like it but it DOESN'T EXACTLY WORK THAT WAY. Isn't it always a little TOO convenient when characters need to run away and SOMEHOW SOMEWAY just barely manage to escape? Especially after they are heroines who claim to be clumsy and un-athletic and as Kelsey says herself (though not in these words precisely) not exactly aerodynamic? Running is just as hard, if not harder, than any sort of wushu or tae kwan do. It is a mental game. It allows us runners to say

....BECAUSE WE RUN CROSS COUNTRY.

Running is beautiful. And it is also a skill that Kelsey should have embraced if she learned the #1 rule of any fighting class which is to RUN FIRST AND SHOUT FOR HELP. Only if you 100% CANNOT find help or escape are you supposed to actually fight with someone. This is true, my friend is in tae kwan do and for some reason she loves these books...cannot figure out why. Yes, I would buy people running gifts for their birthdays because RUNNING IS AWESOME! Yes, I would be appreciative of an amazing blender thingy for Christmas because FOOD IS AWESOME and BLENDED ICY COLD TREATS THAT ARE HEALTHY ARE AWESOME. Lets see...on this long long list of AWESOME, is there anything that is NOT awesome....

Oh right. This book.

End of rant. Please leave out hating on people's lifestyles from books. It is frowned on when authors do it to fat people, it should be frowned on when they do it to people with health conditions. The majority of my family is gluten free. My little sister has allergies and can never have ANY SORT OF WHEAT SUBSTANCE OR SUBSTITUTE OR SUGAR. When authors can learn that the food they think is "good" is really processed GMO crap, maybe then they will gain some audience back. (P.S. don't they know that they are creating a conspiracy theory that authors are all bought out by Monsanto and monster companies like that to spread lies and filth about healthy eating??? CONSPIRACY, I TELL YOU! CONSPIRACY!!!)

Okay. Done for real this time. I will sign off before I really start hatin'. Overall: potential is amazing. Follow-through is terrible.

Tiger's Quest is one of those books that I honestly cannot fully express how I feel about it. Much how I felt with Tiger's Curse back when I read it in January, I had mixed feelings. The story has a lot going for it in terms of characterization and adventure -- but it also has many flaws, particularly its tendency to fall back on Twilight-esque moments and twists that the story really doesn't need. Stories need tension and conflict, but sadly here a lot of the conflict...more

I liked Tiger's Curse, but I LOVED Tiger's Quest. I initially gave this book four stars, but I'm upping it to five because I cannot stop thinking about it. As soon as I turned the last page, I preordered Tiger's Voyage because I am in desperate need of a resolution for that cliffhanger!

Colleen Houck is a storyteller. The writing is not perfect, but I am willing to overlook the flaws because the characters are so compelling, the romance so sizzling, and the quest so epic. Reading this book evoked...more I liked Tiger's Curse, but I LOVED Tiger's Quest. I initially gave this book four stars, but I'm upping it to five because I cannot stop thinking about it. As soon as I turned the last page, I preordered Tiger's Voyage because I am in desperate need of a resolution for that cliffhanger!

Reading this book evoked so many emotions--from swooning to laughter to heartbreak--that I can forgive the book if it's heavy on descriptions or the dialogue's awkward at times. Reading this book makes you FEEL so much, which attests to the strength of Colleen's storytelling.

I felt smothered with details when I read Tiger's Curse, but maybe I'm just used to the writing now because I could not put Tiger's Quest down. Every writer has her strength, and Colleen knows how to write chemistry between her characters. Aaaah, the romance. These books ooze with swoony moments--little fleeting touches, captivating gazes, and delicious kisses that all leave you breathless. (I think I'm starting to sound like I'm 13.) Let's just say Colleen knows how to write a compelling, clean romance between endearing characters.

Yes, there's a love triangle, but Colleen lets it develop so naturally, so believably that I now find myself rooting for both brothers. I can't remember the last time I loved both sides of a YA love triangle this much. The triangle is actually integral to the plot and serves a purpose instead of an author just throwing in another male character to up the amount of kissing scenes and sell Team Whoever t-shirts.

At the end of Tiger's Curse, I didn't know how Colleen was going to make me cheer for Kishan (I mean, I liked him, but it was obvious Kelsey should be with Ren) but Colleen managed to make Kishan so charming and endearing that I now want both brothers to get their happy ending. (And yes, Cait, I had to read the baby part several times because it was just tugging at my heart.) The dynamic between these brothers is riveting, and I'm eagerly anticipating their interactions in Tiger's Voyage. Kishan, I don't know how this can end well for you--you just know there's heartbreak in store--but you made Tiger's Quest entrancing.

Colleen has woven magic, romance, and adventure into this captivating tale of betrayal, redemption, and love. I am so invested in these characters at this point. And after that amazing sneak peek at Tiger's Voyage, November has never felt so far away.(less)

I am lucky to have received an ARC copy of Tiger's Quest. I was simply giddy when I got it in the mail. I even did a little happy dance. You see, I have become obsessed with the Tiger series all over again. (I actually read the first two books in the series when Colleen was self published) I just love these books. I thought the 2nd book in Colleen's Houck's series was better than the first. I liked how she took a step back and allowed us to get to know Ren better and watch Kelsey's and his relationship really grow. At the same time, I liked how the story turned and I found myself cheering for others to succeed as the book progressed. Okay, Colleen Houck, you win. I am actually glad I read this book. There, I admit it. After the torturous struggle that was the first one, I persevered into this because I already owned it and to my surprise, I enjoyed myself. I still won't read the third because I've heard the drama gets even worse and really, my delicate system cannot handle that shit. But props, Ms. Houck. You've won me over. When you start your next series, I will be waiting, because I think you actually have what it takes to be a good writer. I'm not sure you are one yet, but you can be. Keep working.

There are a lot of things here that I liked. The pacing is still kind of shit, but at least it's slightly improved. The writing is technically a lot more readable. In Tiger's Curse I would occasionally hit pages so bad that I could not finish them and had to set the book aside for the day. There were none of them here. Oh, and Kelsey is actually turning into kind of a badass, which was a pleasant surprise. No more of this given-a-divine-weapon-but-it's-really-for-the-guy nonsense. She is blowing shit up and shooting down giant metal birds and yeah, that was FUN. As for Ren and Kishan - their rivalry and all the mushy bullshit with Ren was annoying as hell and gave me major MAJOR Twilight flashbacks, but Kishan's development was about 90% good here and I like him considerably more now than I did before when he was just kind of a creeper.

Now, bad things: needless drama. Strange pacing (chapters spent on Kelsey juggling three boyfriends because... because I have no fucking idea why she didn't just dump at least one of them who she was obviously not interested in - but then the whole central event of the big quest goes by in one chapter despite it consisting of four separate 'tests'). 10% sloppy Kishan characterization, in the bit where all his guilt about his past is basically erased by magical ravens who grant him the understanding he needed to forgive himself. Kelsey, despite blowing shit up all the time, still not being able to stand up to people and just speak her mind (though credit where credit is due - she may grow into this over time and it could be part of an arc). Kelsey-without-Ren sounding so much like New-Moon-Bella that I could honestly see Bella saying and thinking and doing the same things, and that is not a compliment. The use of the phrase 'alligator tears' - that means fake, Ms. Houck, not large. Absurd glorification of Ren's appearance. Unnecessary and sloppy 'look at me I did my research' infodumps that have nothing to do with the story. Kishan continually kissing Kelsey when she can't resist him and generally being an ass way too often until he finally grows up a bit more at the end. The villain, Lokesh ("Lokesh had the conniving persona of Emperor Palpatine mixed with the sadistic cruelty of Hannibal Lecter. He craved power at any price, like Lord Voldemort, and he displayed the pitiless brutality of Ming the Merciless who, like him, had killed his own daughter." Are you KIDDING me? Does it get more over the top?). The way the climactic rescue scene was confusing and hard to follow and explained afterwards for no good reason. The descriptions of obscene wealth in a country plagued by poverty.

Looking at that, it seems like the bad far outweighs the good, but here's the thing: the bad were mostly small things, things I have faith that Houck can improve in as an author. Now, while I will not be continuing with this series (Jillian gave the third book two stars and it was her glowing review of the first that convinced me to make them a priority in the first place) I'm content with having read it to this point. Wow. Tiger's Quest was riveting! This book was so well written that it could be picked up and read as a first, and the series could still be followed! So many parts in it touched my heart, and I found myself actually feeling Kelsey's struggles as she went through it.

In particular, when Kelsey dreams of Ren, and he calls her "wife of my heart," I had to put the book down and cry...the love expressed there is what every girl dreams of!

A few questions that will eat me alive until I can get my hands...more

0.5 star, there's no way in hell I'll give this book more.

Take my words, Colleen Houck totally fails as an 'author', she offers us nothing bout cardboard cutout characters, empty headed heroine who seems to have no thought of her own, uninteresting and unrealistic dreamboat love interests, supporting character (Mr. Kadam) who's only there for the inform dump and being an all-knowing, all-useful plot device.

He makes the most perfect boyfriend out there, I think, he is sooooo in love with Kelsey, sacrifices(and in a huge way in this story, oh my), full of chilvary, brilliant, sweet, and knows how to treat the women he loves. Kishan *swoon* he is all that his brother is only with a dose of edginess to him, which makes him all the more desirable. I feel for him because he is in love with Kelsey too, and he knows her heart is with Ren. Mr Kadam is the best he is there for his family, and wants to see all of them happy. He is one of the best examples of a best friend, he has sacrificed, and given much to/for Ren and Kishan. I love his character in this story.
I have to talk about the ending, without talking about it because it was just so so so, how do I put it, took my breath away, broke my heart poor Ren, Kishan and Kelsey. What are they going to do now/next?All I can say is that I wish November was yesterday so I could be reading Tiger's Voyage right NOW!! Great series if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.

Like its predecessor...the second book in Colleen's TIger series is a rich and masterfully developed tale of all that is great about reading. Kelsey is back in the states attending college and trying to forget Ren--but that's easier said than done. She ends up going on another quest (this time to the Himalayas) to try and break the curse, but since Ren is captured, she's goes with Ren's brother, Kishan.

Tiger's Quest is arguably better than Tiger's Curse. In Colleen's second novel we dive right into the action. We learn about the turmoil and anguish that Kelsey has been going through ever since she left India, and ultimately Ren, at the end of Tiger's Curse. It was heartbreaking to read about her decision to start dating other men, but I admired her determination to try and move on. I for one would NEVER be able to do that if I had someone like Ren. Although her decision to leave Ren was hard to grasp, in TQ we learn more about why she chose to do it and I found myself agreeing with her reasons.

In chapter five of TQ we learn that Ren has traveled to the U.S. to fight for Kelsey. During the following chapters we dive more into Ren's character and oh my goodness is he incredible. Kelsey is the center of his universe and he isn't afraid to express it. Ren's affection for Kelsey can be described with this one quote, "You know you are in love when you see the world in her eyes and her eyes everywhere in the world." Once again I bow down at Colleen's feet for taking her time with Ren and Kelsey's relationship. She allows the characters to grow and become stronger. Ren and Kelsey are devoted to each other and it is believable.

Unfortunately, the course of true love never did run smooth. In order to protect Kelsey's life he selflessly allows himself to be captured by Lokesh's men so she may escape. Insert Kishan...Throughout the rest of the novel it is now up to Kelsey and Kishan to complete the next step of the journey and then save Ren's life. During this time the relationship between Kelsey and Kishan grows as well as the undeniable attraction Kishan has for kelsey. Holy rusted metal Batman, I see a love-triangle coming on!

When the light bulbs in my head started flicking on and I recognized the path this novel was taking I became very scared and let me tell you why - I HATE LOVE-TRIANGLES! Ever since New Moon was released there has been nothing but love-triangles in every single YA romance novel I have ever read and I am disgusted by it. Not only is it completely overdone it is done wrong. I cannot stand how the heroine of a novel falls for the hero and expresses her undying love, how there is no one in her life but him. Then love interest #2 comes waltzing in and every word of devotion our heroine said to our hero goes flying out the friggn' window. Our heroine now is spending all her time thinking, fantasizing, dreaming, kissing, flirting and socializing with the cruel jerk that is love interest #2. All the while she's contemplating on how she still loves our hero but continues to spend time with the other guy. Then, of course, the heroine ALWAYS ends up with the hero in the end. Ya, I didn't see that coming miles away at all!

I hate love-triangles because I always end up hating love interest #2 and I end up hating the heroine for falling for him. It is painful for me to read such novels because I can never connect with the heroine. I'm being torn in two because I always hate love interest #2 but the author is drilling me with reasons why I should like him. This, to me, is the number one reason why Colleen is different from others. She has accomplished what 99.9% of authors cannot do - she has made me fall in love with love interest #2.

Kishan is such a wonderful person. When Kishan is introduced in Tiger's Curse he is a bit hot-headed, egotistical, and arrogant. In Tiger's Quest the layers of the onion are peeled away and we see the real Kishan. The real Kishan is noble, honorable, considerate, respectful, loving, caring, and a fighter. Right off the bat when Kishan starts to have feelings for Kelsey he hates himself for it. We see a man who is still painfully bearing the weight of the sin he committed over 300 years earlier and he does not want to commit that same sin again. To respect Kelsey and Ren he stays away from Kelsey and allows Ren to be with her. Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable circumstances Kishan and Kelsey are forced to travel on this journey together and it is hard for Kishan to keep his feelings under control. Although Kishan occasionally loses control and shows a little too much affection toward Kelsey the reader still understands that Kishan would do anything to not feel the way he does.

Another reason why Colleen is so wonderful at writing love-triangles is she is true to her characters. She doesn't write about a heroine who is deeply in love with a hero and than stabs him in the back by falling for someone else. Kelsey is 100% devoted to Ren and when Kishan advances on her she fights back. Even though Kelsey isn't perfect and starts to enjoy her time with Kishan a little too much (who wouldn't!) she doesn't act on those feelings and still wholeheartedly chooses Ren. I love Kishan and do genuinely want him to be happy. I hope he finds his happily ever after, just like Kelsey and Ren have.

Tiger's Quest is an emotional roller coaster ride. The characters are all so wonderful and you care about each and every one of them. The adventure is thrilling, suspenseful, exciting, and fun. Although you may find your eyes watering a bit much you trust that Colleen knows what she is doing and everything will work out in the end. Tiger's Quest is the perfect continuation to a wonderful series. (less)

After devouring Tiger's Curse, I had to hop right back on to Amazon and download Tiger's Quest on my iPod. I then proceeded to devour Tiger's Quest, even though I kept telling myself not to read it so fast, book 3 isn't even out yet! I couldn't help myself! :)

I really had to push myself to pick up this second book and start reading. The first book bothered me in a lot of ways and I found the main heroine, Kelsey, to be incredibly annoying. Having said that, there were some very interesting things about the story including the Indian culture and history which in the end were enough to make me continue.

I read this book in a day. I could not put it down. I was laughing out loud and in tears by the end. I won't spoil it but it is an emotional roller coaster. I want to read the 3rd book and don't know if I can wait for it. I love how the author weaves all the myths and legends in with Kelsey and her quest. Colleen's writing is so descriptive that you can see the pictures in your head like a movie as you are reading. I was on the edge of my seat the whole book and I didn't want it to end.

Once again I was awe struck by Ms. Houck's great imagination! (**,) She's such a good author that it makes me want to go to India, mainly to explore their culture, see a white tiger and of course to taste their food. If there's once place I want to live in for the rest of my life, it's probably in Shangri-La. It's so peaceful and beautiful! I'm nature lover so that place is really close to my heart. There are predators lurking by but you don't have to be afraid of your surroundings because even those wild animals are good as the deers, they're holding out their predatory instinct to follow the law and be able to stay there. Instead of eating or attacking smaller preys they just ignore them and all of the animals in Shangri-La are not afraid to see humans or interacting with them. And addition to that, there are even fairies going around. ^^, I just hope this place really does exist because it's like a version of heaven here on earth.

I'll try to summarize what happened in book two. Please don't continue reading if you don't want (minor/ not so major) spoliers but I'll try not to mention MAJOR spoilers.

I like this book because I get to know the in depth story behind the brothers' family (including their grandfather). I didn't get to know Kishan in the first book because Ren's character is the focused there but in here, Kishan has the spotlight to himself. I get to know better Kishan's character; he's straight forward, doesn't hide his feelings, a bit playful, sometimes he's quiet, protective, strong & dangerous, respecting Kelsey by not forcing himself or pressuring her to love him back, he even mentioned that he will be happy for Kelsey and help her if she and Ren get back together and most importantly, he's such a loving and caring person but though he doesn't say this vocally, he also needs to be taken care of and needs somebody to love him. I like how he shows his vulnerable side to Kelsey. *sigh* can't say much more about Kishan. He's such a martyr.

Oh my fav.girl Kelsey Hayes! I like the way you handled yourself after what happened with the three of you in Oregon. You're strong willed as ever and witty. I admire your devotion to Ren but there are times when I'm quite annoyed because all of you can think of is your beloved but I can't blame you because you love him so much. I'm happy to see that you appreciate all of the efforts Kishan did to you by giving him your attention even though most of your mind is filled up with the thoughts of Ren. I also admire your strong determination to live and continue the quest in spite of being chased, battling and having near death experiences with the Kappa, immortal monkeys, and iron birds. I don't want those creatures behind my back. ^^, BUT I somehow didn't like the way you acted that way in the ending because you sounded like a whiny teenager. I sympathize with you over what happened but can you imagine to put yourself in his stead? and be able to feel what's his feeling in his current condition? He may feel suffocated by you but nonetheless I still like you my dear. :)

To my Prince Dhiren, you're still desirable as ever! :D I love the way you change, adjust and the great suffering you've endured just for Kelsey's sake. You're such a noble prince. <3

and to Mr. Kadam, my favorite character in the series. You're my new definition of walking encyclopedia. :D

Like Tiger's Curse, I LOVED this book. I was a little worried at the beginning, wondering if Ren would come for her, but he did. I loved when Ren and Li were competing for Kelsey! It was awesome, though I would find it annoying if I were Kelsey, I would dump Li and go with Ren, but that's me. Then...when Ren was kidnapped. When I found out that he didn't make it on the plane, I admit I cried. I was so sad and when I read it I counted the chapters until I got to read 'Saving Ren'. So, me? I'm on...more

There are very few books that make me feel the way this series does! I have minor annoyances with this book, like the magical aspects of being able to produce any kind of food or cloth. Great follow up book can't wait for the third book. I do have to set aside my experience with tigers at times and remember these books are fantasy. Tigers do not purr and there are no black tigers. However it is accurate that a white tiger would be from India. The Bengal tiger is the only species of tiger that carries the recessive gene to have a white tiger and Bengal tigers can only be found in India. Love this series and the characters, my only problem is waiting for the next three books! The action, adventure, and love story pulled me in, but the myths/legends/stories, cultural aspects, and the characters have me hooked.
