آن قدر عادت کرده ایم از سطح برابر یکدیگر را ببینیم که حتی آدم هایی که نسبت به ظاهرِ خود بیشترین دقت را دارند هرگز به این فکر نمی کنند که ممکن است از بالا دیده شوند. این اشتباه بزرگی است که به خودیِ خود می تواند ماهیت یک شخص را فاش سازد.

بی نظیر بود، عالی، چقدر پرکشش و حساب شده، از همه بهتر پایان کتاب بود که ساعتها منو تو فکر فرو برد.
ایده کتاب فوق العادست، نویسنده کتابهای پلیسی که خود دست به قتل میزنه و توسط نویسنده کتابهای پلیسی دیگر که از قضا منتقد نوشته هاش هم هست تعقیب میشه.

Eccezionale. Tre uomini: uno scrittore di gialli di scuola deduttiva, analitico e razionale; uno scrittore le cui pagine grondano "crudeltà, segreti e sospetti" e che lasciano nel lettore un "misterioso ossessionante raccapriccio"; un uomo d'affari armato di frustino. E una femme fatale in kimono.

Pour se considérer comme un véritable fan de polars japonais, il est nécessaire de se familiariser avec les livres de Rampo Edogawa. C'est dans un article sur le genre que j'ai appris qu'il en était l'un des pionniers au Japon. Son pseudonyme est en fait une allusion phonétique à l'écrivain Edgar Allan Poe.

Ficelé comme un Arsène Lupin, ce livre est un régal à lire parce que l'écriture de Edogawa est magnifique. Là, en dehors du narrateur, se dessine les personnages avec profondeur et sensibilité. Je ne suis vraiment pas adepte des nouvelles et j'aurai aimé un livre plus long.
