Zombies! It's not the end of the world. Shawn of the Dead is the first of a series of episodes that focuses on the more personal aspects of people as they face their regular lives against the backdrop of a zombie infection.

Shawn Rudd is an almost average high school senior on his way to meet up with his secret lover when he encounters what appears to be a zombie. His react

When I first discovered Zombies I read six episodes back to back in a matter of a few days. Since then the publishing dates have forced me to slow down a bit. (The author writes and publishes one episode a month.) At 99 cent an episode its a great deal; each episode is probably 200-300 pages long. While there is blood and gore it is not overly detailed. The story focuses more on the characters and how they react to the ever present zombies. It's a great series and I plan on seeing it through to ...more

This is Turner's first book in his Zombies! series and it is off to a solid start. In a way this is similar to the new "Fear The Walking Dead" series in that it begins before the epidemic is wide spread and most people are unable or unwilling to accept the fact that there are such things as zombies.

It begins with the teenage Shawn leaving school on his way to meet an older lover. On his way he sees what he knows to be a zombie, after all he has seen his share of horror movies. He is able to kill

WARNING REVIEW IS OF ALL 10 EPISODES:

I haven't read a lot of zombie books, in fact one of the first zombie books was from just a few days ago, it was call Atticus of the Undead and you should check it out. I really enjoyed the very few books I have read about zombies, so I figured this book would be another good zombie book. Although this book is not presented like a normal book. This book is

I purchased Shawn of the Dead, on my Nook, and it was free. Now what I notice before I purchased this book, is that the rest of the books in this series is only .99.
I really enjoyed Shawn of the Dead. I just ready enjoyed the concept and prospective the author was coming from. Must zomie books are only based on the infection, and the killing. I haven't read any zombie book yet that sees it from the victim family perspective.

My favorite character is Semmy. I just felt so bad for him, and his wif

If you like zombie books then this series is the best of the best. I'm currently on series 1 episode 9, having started on this one, andI have been glued to my iPad for the last week. Just a quick note to any tv exec out there. Be a very smart man/lady and sign up this series. It would make a smash hit tv series. I can't wait to see how all the characters unfold in this and the next series.

This is the beginning of a long series of short books that come out once a month. The story line is good and the characters pop up from one book or another. They are quick reads, and before you know it you are ordering the next 99 cent book. Once you are done, there is a continuing series by Ivan Turner

An excellent beginning to what looks to be a great series. Good character development as they are very believable. It's great to see how someone would handle the beginning of the zombie apocalypse both from the writers standpoint and from the characters view.

A child of the movies, I was always consumed by fantastic stories told by others and translated into adventures to be retold by me through the action figure medium. As I grew older, I put the action figures away and moved into the realm of role playing. Though I never outgrew role playing, I certainly don't have the time for it anymore. Since I was eleven years old, I've been pouring almost every ...more
