În "Arta de a fi fericit" Schopenhauer expune 50 de "reguli de viață" -cât de poate de obiective, credeți-mă- necesare unui om pentru a fi fericit. Probabil mulți dintre noi știm că Schopenhauer nu a fost "cel mai trist om de pe planetă" (așa cum sunt caracterizați filozofii în general), la fel cum nici filozof de duzină n-a fost! *Eu unul cred cu tărie că meditația lucidă se poate face numai într-o singurătate absolută.*

Schopenhauer ritaglia la propria filosofia della felicità attorno al suo personale stile di vita, una sorta di quieto vivere più passivo che attivo, tendente all'isolamento e all'apatia. Tale obiettivo non è considerato desiderabile dalla maggior parte degli uomini, e dunque anche il suo set di consigli sull'essere felici risulta non del tutto convincente.
Si colgono in ogni caso riflessioni interessanti, ma a ben vedere le parti migliori ripetono idee riconducibili ad altre e antecedenti dottri

υπάρχουν πολλές απόψεις με τις οποίες δεν συμφωνώ, ωστόσο λέει και πολλές αλήθειες που καλό είναι να θυμόμαστε συχνά όπως:

"όταν βλέπουμε κάτι που δεν μας ανήκει, σκεφτόμαστε "πως θα ήταν, αν ήταν κάτι δικό μου?" και έτσι νοιώθουμε τη στέρησή του. Αντίστοιχα, για αυτά που κατέχουμε, συχνά θα έπρεπε να σκεφτόμαστε: πως θα ήταν αν το έχανα;"

Όσοι με ξέρουν θα το επιβεβαιώσουν. Εκ φύσεως δεν μου αρέσουν τα εγχειρίδια. Και δη εκείνα που πραγματεύονται ζωή, σκέψεις, συναισθήματα. Η τέχνη του να είσαι ευτυχισμένος είναι να ορμάς στη ζωή με τα καλά και τα κακά, τα σωστά και τα λάθη που θα κάνεις. Κάνεις ταμείο και προχωράς.

Shelves: philosophy
Schopenhauer is brilliant, but from the fifty rules collected in this work, many rules are frequently repeated. Nonetheless an easy introduction to his pessimistic outlook on life.

Il faut bien se poser la question au moins une fois dans sa vie, non? Des aphorismes intéressants, l'ensemble est parfois un peu répétitif mais il faut noter que l'ouvrage n'était pas destiné à la publication, Schopenhauer l'a rédigé pour lui-même, comme un aide-mémoire. Il est qualifié à tort de pessimiste, je ne comprends pas bien cette étiquette.
