A book about getting/delivering mail AND it features a hedgehog on the cover!? I could so easily fall in love with this book ;-)

I wish the story aspect had been a tad more creative/interesting (or told in a style that particularly captivated me) but it was fairly standard so I can't give this five stars. Still, as a kid I would have been just infatuated with the different sorts of mail being delivered to the different creatures. And I do appreciate the variety of seasons portrayed, too. There i

I’d have loved this book when I was 3 and 4 years old; it’s better than most of the then modern books I had read to me at the time.

The illustrations are very sweet and the animals are depicted wonderfully well, as are the different types of mail and Harvey’s present.

The story is rather slight and there’s not a lot going on, but it’s adorable. Basically, Harvey diligently delivers the mail to various animals, through all four seasons, and one of his animal friends devises a way for all the animal
