I just finished the book Tales from a Not-So-Talented Pop Star (Dork Diaries). In this book there is a girl named Nikki and she is on a scholarship, because her Dad is the exterminator for her school but she thinks her dad is a little crazy so she does not want enyone to know she has a scholarship. I liked how creative the author was with ideas! She did amazing. I honestly liked everything. The author did well describing Nikki's thoughts. I rate five stars and girls in fifth grade should read it because it might have some problems that happen at real school. Around 4 times Nikki had checked and so she felt that no one knows about the queasy cheesy.When Nikki checked at 9:00 clock she saw there were 7 views already. Nikki was ffeeling so terrible she kept on saying to herself that Mackenzie will ruin her life. The next day when Nikki went to school no one talked about the queasy cheesy dance. Instead Everyone were talking about the talent show. Nikki was imagining herself as a popstar. Nikki was only good at singing. When Chloe and Zoey were talking about the talent show they came up with a crazy idea. Chloe thought that they would do chicken dance.Nikki told that they can do a bookworm hip hop dance.But no that idea was a total failure. So Nikki thought of signing up for the talent show. Nikki was allowed to put an audition in the bands room. The talent show hunt was not going the way Nikki thought. So then Violet audtion and was selected and also Theodore. Theodore told that he will try to reform his band. And when Theodore had recuited his band Nikki saw that Brandon was the drumer. Nikki was like happy. In lunch time Nikki's video queasy cheesy was been shown. And so Chloe and Zoey came and supported Nikki. Chloe and Zoey then droped Mackenzie's group. Chloe and Zoey joined Nikki's group for the talent show. In the audition Nikki had forgot to put the name of there group so there was no audition done.But then they annouced that they can come to the talent show and perform.Finally the day came. Mackenzie group had perform next was Nikki's group. When they performed everyone loved it. Guess who is going to win the talent show?

This book was about a girl named Nikki who is just trying to deal with every problem that occurs in her life. Her arch-nemis Mackenzie has her locker right next to Nikki's and for some reason it is just Mackenzie's goal to ruin Nikki's life! Nikki writes down everything that happens in her diary. The big event happening at Nikki's school is the school's talent show. Originally Nikki and her two best friends Chloe and Zoey were going to perform but of course Mackenzie has to make things difficult for Nikki. First she convinced Chloe and Zoey to join her dance group for the talent show. Then Mackenzie found out that Nikki's dad is an exterminator for their school and that Nikki is at the school on a scholarship therefore Mackenzie set off jars of bugs in the school so that the principal had Nikki tell her dad to come and help exterminate the situation. Nikki was horrified and there was no way she was going to let her Dad exterminate the school, so she decided not to tell her father. Mackenzie then sent out a FAKE notice of a tuition bill for Nikki. Nikki thought it was because she didn't say something to her dad. There was no way her parents would be able to afford the bill the only way to fix everything is to win the talent show because you then get free tuition, the plan was perfect! Nikki hosted auditions and found the perfect band with her best friends back in it. The day of the talent show came and Nikki's band did great. Unfortunately Mackenzie's dance group was better than Nikki's and Mackenzie won the talent show. Nikki was so upset and could not believe what was happening to her. Nikki finally found out that the tuition bill was a fake and a huge weight was lifted off of Nikki's shoulders. Life was back to normal. Nikki and her "dorkalicious" self.

I can relate to this book because whenever I see on t.v. that the bad guy wins it is so upsetting. Just like how Mackenzie won the talent show when Nikki should have! I can not wait to read the fourth book!!! (less)

Tales From a Not So Talented Pop Star is the the book after Tales From a Not So Popular Party Girl. This book is probably my favorite book of the series. But I probably said that about every book in this series!

This series has a lot of the kind of detail that I've been looking for! It's hilarious, exciting, plus it made me laugh to the point where I was rolling around on the floor because my stomach began to hurt.

I just the Dork Diaries!

Oh these books have yet to disappoint me! I love them! A couple years ago, I started reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and I loved the way they were set up. Then I discovered the Dork Diaries! A talent show is coming up at the school. Nikki really wants to do something with her friends for the talent, but decides against doing so when Mackenzie makes it clear she'll do whatever it takes to win. Even if it is telling Nikki's secret to the whole school! And Nikki won't let that happen.

I love this series! Nikki is such a sweetheart and my heart goes out to her as she finds herself in one scrape after another.

The one thing that I love about this book is that you know that no matter how many embarrassing or horrible situations Nikki will find herself in it will all be fine at the end and she will no doubt have learned some kind of lesson to go along with it.

This is the BEST BOOK! I love the fact that Nikki describes how embarrassing her family is and how she tries to prevent her Dad from going to her school to handle the 'bug problem' diabolical MacKenzie creates. ! Whenever I pick a Dork Diary up, it's like I AM Nikki Maxwell. That I go to Westchester and that I'm archenemies with MacKenzie, and that my best friends are Chloe and Zoey. Love it! I love that I can say I bought this for my daughter, but actually, I love reading them just as much. They are fun and cute stories. My daughter, who is going to be in 3rd grade read this book in 1 day and is on her 2nd or 3rd reading of it. She loves sharing all the things that happen in the story. Dork Diaries By Rachel Renee Russel was a great book. The book really reminded me of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, just in a girl version. What kept me reading this amazing book was that the girls life kept getting more interesting each page. My reflection to her life is we both just got in to a new school and that its not exactly easy.
