dirty/bad/wrong

I was delighted to see Ms. Dane return readers to Petal, the setting for her very popular Chase Brothers series. Now I must preface this by saying dirty/bad/wrong is VERY loosely connected to that series in that Polly Chase and family are mentioned and are part of one scene in this story.

Ava Rand’s return to Petal is tinged with bittersweet as well as ugly memories. As a child raised in abject poverty by an abusive, alcoholic father and a mother whose relationship with the bottl...more

All great stories that were very erotic.

Dane – I really enjoyed this story. My favorite type – friends to lovers. It was short, but she had enough material that she could have made a full book out of this one. I really liked all of the characters. Both of the guys were sexy and sweet and she was a very strong person. I thought, as typical in her books, that the guys were much more mature and willing to talk through things than you typically see. The only thing that kind of bugged me was that ev...more

This is the first time I’ve ever read an anthology of short stories before. Normally, I don’t care for collections of short stories because it seems like it takes me forever to get through them which sounds crazy because well, they’re short! When I saw that two of my favorite authors were collaborating in not only an anthology, but a collection of ménage stories, I was determined to get it! I was lucky enough to win a signed copy from Megan Hart herself, and I dived right in as soon as it came t...more

In case you couldn't tell by the name.... this book is basically four short stories that revolved around a menage, or at the very least 3 people in one way or another. Let me give you a quick warning so this doesn't happen to you.

Do not try to read this book while at work! You might not be able to cover up the blushing, sometimes moaning, and other reactions your body won't be able to help!

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane

Ava returns home to Petal, Georgia after ten years of living on the west coast. Those ten years ago she had found love and comfort with both Luca and Angelo. With an alcoholic father and a mother who cheated, Ava was an outcast. But Luca and Angelo not only showed her love, but acceptance. It was all too much to take though, and one morning she left, and never looked back. But now her mother has died, and Ava has come back for her funeral. She meets back up with Luc...more

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane:
I am a huge Lauren Dane fan and I knew that her novella was going to be HOT! She did not disappoint. Ava is back in her hometown for her mother's funeral. Ava doesn't have great memories of Petal, Georgia. Her mother was a drunk, her father abused her and she grew up dirt poor. She is now a successful business woman living in L.A.; a far cry from the insecure teen that escaped the small town. The saving grace for Ava was her special friendship with Angelo and Luca....more

Flipping for Chelsea (EHolly): I wasn't too wild about it. I don't like when a menage relationship doesn't feel equal. I definitely felt Shay was the odd man out.
Dirty/Bad/Wrong (LDane): So-so. Decent story, hot menage sex (including M/M action), but the heroine annoyed me with her insecurities.
Just One Night (MHart): Quite good. This one surprised me; Hart's been hit-n-miss for me. Strong emotional connection between Brian and Kerry, probably because of their shared history, but Jeremy didn't a...more

An anthology of reunions and erotic romances revolving around threesomes in some way, shape, or form.

The Stories
Lauren Dane's dirty/bad/wrong is a sweet tale of a woman coming home to bury her slut of an alcoholic mother. She ran away years ago from a threesome with her two best friends and now she's coming home again.

Megan Hart's Just For One Night is an odd one. Very sad and yet quite hopeful. Kerry's boyfriend Jeremy wants her to fuck her high school crush when she goes to her school reunio...more

I was eager to read this anthology written by four of today’s most talented erotica authors. I’ve read all but Emma Holly, so I knew there’s some darned great reading to be had. I wasn’t too far off in my prediction. All the novellas featured here pretty good, and, as goes with reading anthologies, I like a couple better than others. But if you’re looking for some sizzling erotic stories, this one will satisfy any and all needs.

I found this collection of stories to be a crap shoot. I really liked the Lauren Dane and Emma Holly stories, Megan Hart's was ok, but Bethany Kane's was disappointing for me.

Dane and Holly's stories had a similar theme, a group (2 guys, 1 girl) have a fling as teens, things happen and even though they all are best friends it is a decade before they all are together again. What made these stories so much fun was the relationship was based on such a deep friendship and that within the group there...more

Flipping For Chelsea by Emma Holly
MyRating: A+

In Emma Holly's FLIPPING FOR CHELSEA, Shay and Liam shared an unforgettable night with their lifelong friend, Chelsea, awakening a rush of forbidden feelings--feelings they have to reckon with when the three reunite, and the unrequited lust between them is too much to bear.

****3.5 Stars****

Finished the first story by Lauren Dane. It was okay. I think it is worth a 3.5 star rating. I think it actually would have made a great full length story. I would love to know more about all of the characters. Dane must have had to do some trimming to get it to fit in the book, because a couple of times while reading I had to stop and re-read. Ms. Dane doesn't disappoint in the steam department. Very hot and there is a bit of m/m to the story, not in great detail, but it is the...more

When I got the chance to review this anthology I actually jumped up and down like a madwoman. I love Ms Dane's and Ms Hart's writing and both in one book was just too good to be true. In retrospect I'm even more happy I read it because I discovered another great author.

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane. This story features a genuine polyamorous triad as opposed to simply menage, which I thought was interestingly different. It didn’t entirely work for me, though. Ava has returned to her home town for her mom’s funeral, after having run away and left two men she loved behind: both are eager to welcome her back. The first section was dull: Ava, Luca and Angelo jump back into rose-colored sexytimes with each other instantly, like she’d just gone out for cigarettes. W...more

I got this one for Megan Hart’s entry, so I wasn’t particularly bothered that my expectations based on the blurb weren’t met. But for those who are looking to read this one with the expectation that it contains four ménage stories, you might find yourself disappointed.

Even though this book is marketed with the misleading title of Three to Tango, along with the blurb which states:
”Four of erotic fiction’s most talented authors carry readers away with all-new tales of ecstasy that prove the most

dirty/bad/wrong by Lauren Dane 2.5 stars poorly edited and therefore somewhat confusing story about a girl coming back to her hometown and catching up with 2 old lovers (who are now lovers themselves) m/m/f. With better editing this would have been much better. One example; one of the guys enters the story by coming up and kissing the other man very passionately, but later in the story, we find out that he's not comfortable with being lovers with the other man and they've only had sex 3 times ov...more

I was so excited to get this book. I love Emma Holly, and I love m/mf menage.

Emma's story was good. Lauren Dane's Dirty/Bad/Wrong is fabulous. Sadly the other 2 stories aren't really menage and aren't happy at the end, which the old-fashioned romance reader in me wants. Penguin bills this as erotica, so no implicit contract was made with me as a reader for HEA, but I have to admit, I was sad that two stories were so good, but two were just not my cup of tea.

Five stars for the Emma Holly novella which is, as always, flawless erotic perfection. Have not yet read the others, but they could be textbooks on the uses of cheese and I would still give this collection five stars, because it's worth it just for the Holly novella. I think you're safe investing your money, however - Lauren Dane and Megan Hart are excellent writers (and not that the other writer is not - I'm just not yet familiar with her work!).

Unbelievably excellent anthology. (Two of the authors (Dane and Hart) were known to me but the other two (Holly and Kane) were new acquaintances…but I'll be investigating their backlists very thoroughly.) All of the stories were quality writing, but (just as importantly to me) they were also emotionally satisfying. I finished the reads with a smile on my face and an assurance that the characters were happy for now, well on their way to an HEA.

I liked all of them! All of them were reunion stories with a lot of heat and love that withstood time and distance. Lauren Dane's was my favorite. I just love her Petal stories, and this one didn't disappoint. I liked Megan Hart's story well enough, but I usually have trouble connecting with her h's... I just don't like them. And the endings to her stories always feel to me like you are just hoping that they have worked everything out and that they work really hard to stay together. Not quite en...more

Anthologies can be a real hit and miss but this is by far and away the best I've read. All the stories were good, hot and erotic. Loved Megan Hart's story, Emma Holly's (as always), even Lauren Dane's (who is not my favourite ordinarily) and Beth Kane's contribution was an absolute ripper - very steamy + a very intense alpha male = hot. Well worth the price of the book because all stories totally hit the mark.

The Three to Tango anthology was an okay collection of stories. I loved Lauren Dane’s Dirty/Bad/Wrong and Emma Holly’s Flipping Chelsea was a great first for me. However Megan Hart’s Just For One Night and Beth Kery’s On the Job just didn’t fit in, at least not for me. Neither story was really a menage romance and with a title like Three to Tango, I came in expecting to read four menage stories.
gremlin
I suppose my biggest issue with this is I from the description was expecting four menage stories, and that's not what this is - though there are 3 people involved in each story.

I enjoyed dirty/bad/wrong by Lauren Dane (good story, realistic issues), and Flipping For Chelsea by Emma Holly (hot!!).

I did not particularly like Just for One Night by Megan Hart (emotionally draining), or On The Job by Bethany Kane (odd odd setup).
Kim
Overall a good set of short stories. I thought DIRTY/BAD/WRONG by Lauren Dane was a slow starter, but it was fun to be back in Petal again. I liked JUST FOR ONE NIGHT by Megan Hart, though I really wanted to punch out 'Jeremy.' FLIPPING FOR CHELSEA was fun and had a good ending. ON THE JOB was just delicious.
Jessica
Four hot stories, by four of some of today's best erotic authors.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. All of the stories were quick reads, and I liked that while they all had some similarities, they each held their own. I really enjoyed the stories by Emma Holly and Lauren Dane.

Flipping for Chelsea & dirty/bad/wrong were oh so good!!! I love Lauren Dane's Petal books and loved loved loved this trio! Flipping for Chelsea was a pleasant discovery! I've never read a Holly book but I'm sure going to start!
Flitterkit
They were all ok. None spectacular enough that I just HAD to find other stuff that author's done. Didn't really like "just for one night" at all. Liked Dirty/Bad/Wrong the most, most cohesive characters and interest on my part.
Jenny
Flipping for Chelsea by Emma Holly was good.

Dirty / Bad / Wrong by Lauren Dane was the best.

Just one Night by Megan Harts was okay.

On the Job by Bethany Kane was the one I liked the least.
