Even though Secret Heiress was not the type of book that requires any mental strain - the 'mysteries' in its plot easily resolved before the book's halfway point - it was still an engaging and sweet novel, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I would have liked for the author to have allowed us readers to participate a tad more. Although the mystery Lord Seaton was investigating manages to hold out to the end of the book to be resolved, the others 'mysteries' were extremely obvious. It would have been nic

Shelves: regency
Eliza, the perfect woman. She is kind, forgiving, innocent. Of course she catches the eye of Daniel Seaton, and of course they get the perfect future together. A typical romance, with discovered relations and inheritances that were extremely predictable, but I enjoyed it anyway. I did like Lady Sarah though, so I was glad to see her happiness fulfilled.

kinda slow - not really believable that she sends out a job inquiry and her birth mother answers. The idea was there to start the story but the details needed more work to make them believable.
