Gerry Bartlett the creator of the Glory St. Claire books which have had my head spinning from day one in this, the sixth book in the adventures of Glory St. Clair. Her life (or undeath) never stops or gives her a break. She is the owner of Vintage Vamps, a clothing store, she is planning her best friend’s bachelorette party. Oh and let’s not forget that there’s a hit out on her for killing a Vamp murdering billionaire. She is being attacked from all sides and must still manage to handle everythi...more

Gloriana St. Clare, better known as Glory to her vampire friends and lovers is determined to declare her independence from bodyguards. Trouble starts on page one as her former bodyguard Rafe has shifted from his dog form into an irresistible human man. Rafe has a penchant for cinnamon rolls and strutting around in a towel, both of which drive Glory to distraction. In this latest installment of the Real Vampire series, Glory learns two of her former vampire lovers are returning to Austin: Jeremy...more

Paranormal Romance- Dec. 7th, 2010
4 stars

Light-hearted and zany, this hilarious vampire series is a hoot. Readers who enjoy the paranormal romances books by Kerrelyn Sparks will definitely enjoy this one too!

Glory St. Clair is a vampire who declared independence from her handsome maker Jeremy Blade. Jeremy is the love of Glory's life. He wants to marry her and shower her with his riches but, unfortunately, he also smothers her. Jeremy turned Glory...more

Glory St. Clair is a vampire with man trouble. Between her on-again, off-again lover Jeremy Blade, smoking hot rock star Ray Caine, and former bodyguard turned apartment mate Valdez, there's enough man-candy around to make even a gal with a liquid diet feel a sugar rush.

Glory's got no time to enjoy it, though, considering that she's in the middle of planning her best friend's wedding. And let's not forget that there happens to be a hit on her head,...more

NOTE: I have not read any of the first five books in this series.

Glory St. Clair has one hell of a messed up life! She’s been around the block for a few centuries, but still hasn’t learned to be completely self-sufficient. Glory has recently (something that happened in an earlier book) left her long-time love, Jerry, and opened her own vintage clothing store to make it on her own. But as soon as Jerry strolls back into the picture, she turns to him for love. She also is playing a dangerous, flir...more

It's summertime and that means I head for the easing reading romance and chick Lit novels. I just could not make it through this one. I've been sampling a few books with the vampire theme because it's so popular. I've yet to determine why the genre is so trendy, because most of these books do not engage me. I've made it through about 1/3 of this book and can't push any further. There are so many threads to the plot, but I find none of them engaging. The book title refers to the fact that the her...more

“Real Vampires Have More To Love” by Gerry Bartlett

Once again Glory St. Clair can not seem to keep herself out of trouble, man trouble. You think being a vampire would keep trouble away from you, but that does not seem to be the case for poor Glory. After killing Brent Westwood, a tecno nut who is obsessed with vampires, Glory thought she was finally free of him. Not so, she now has his progeny hunting her to finish off where their father left off. If that is not a plate full, she now has her...more

The best one so far! We learn more about the hot and sexy Rafe. He's a little more then just a shifter. Glory still up to her "I'm independent" tricks. She winds up possessed by a snarky demon who urges her to sleep with Rafe and just about every other hot guy. We find out some one is not dead who should be and whoa that was a shocker. "Dr. Simon" decides to make his acting debut, hysterical. He desperately wants Glory to be one of the EVs Flo has a wonderful wedding and Jerry gives Glory a low...more

Glory St. Clair is over four hundred years old but just beginning to establish her independence as a 21st century woman. Unfortunately, that isn’t the only challenge she’s facing. Between running her vintage clothing shop, planning her best friend’s bachelorette party, dodging vampire hunters, and dealing with the bitchy matter of demon possession, Glory is trying to sort through the conundrum of amorous men and decide who will keep her heart.

Glory is always in some love triangle, and although I have liked a lot of books in this series sometimes they don't go far enough for me. They heat things up with the men but never take that leap over the edge. I can't say that about this book, it was hot and went far enough for me and attached appropriate emotions to every action.

With this being the 6th book in the series it was nice to see glory coming out of her shell more, it may have been for the wrong reasons (read to find out the reasons...more

Fun, fast read like all the Real Vampires books. Glory finds she still has the hots for Rafe, Ray, Jerry and few others. Now she somehow ended up being demon possessed. She blames it on that. A character from her last escapades that was supposed to have died, ends up resurfacing. Simon...head of the EV organization seems to think Glory would make a good candidate for the now all men group. Her love life goes into the toilet again. She never can cop a break, what's new? I don't know how she has...more

What I really like about this book is that for half of it circumstances happened to cause Glory to loose her inhibitions about so much, which made it fun to read. She let her customers know just what she thought about what they picked. With all the men in her life she did things she normally wouldn't have. It was this last that had me really liking the book until the end, when she came back to herself and made a choice with the men. While I like all the men, and in the past I really like the one...more

I absolutely love this series and this book didn't disappoint! Glory St. Clair is the vampire for every woman. When she was turned, it was during a time when women were known to be voluptuous instead of stick thin. She has 3 men all vying for her affections which makes for a fun series. :)
Layla
hilarious and hot. i went through the story with Glory but i have to say i was often on Alesa's (the demon inside Glory) side ;]
i'm excited to see what happen's next; who will Glory choose?

[SMALL SPOILER!!!!]
i'm on Team Rafeal! x]

Glory's got herself in another gigantic mess and tries to get out of it, but can't avoid some casualties.

Things in her mind get a little clearer after these new adventures of hers and she manages to make some overdue decisions (concerning the men in her life and their role in it, mostly).

Let's see if she'll keep them, too...
Rhonda
I really liked the previous books in this series. I found that Glory's relationship difficulties to be a bit too much in this book. I would have preferred a different ending but will see what the next book brings.
Ashley
As always with this series, this book was laugh out loud funny and sexy. All our favorite characters return in another crazy adventure with Glory. Can wait for more Glory drama!
Pam Masters
Fantastic story. At points I wasn't sure who I was cheering for more Glory (the vamp the book is about) or Alesa (a she-demon).

Really need to look for the others in the series.
Amie
I love this series almost as much as I love Charlaine Harris' and Sookie Stackhouse. An overweight vampire that has hot guys all over her. Fun!
Laura
I believe this book is a part of a series, and I look forward to reading the others. I like a little humor and snarkiness with my vampires. It's a good, funny, and thoroughly enjoyable read.
Tia
Read in 2011. Loved the series, who would of thought a chunky vampire with brash fashion sense could be so much fun!
Kristin
This one was just ok for me. I really liked the previos books in the series, but this took way longer thanit should have.
"Z"
Love Glory, but she's becoming quite the slut. She needs to settle down with Jerry and marry him already.
Amanda
This book just didn't do it for me. I'm tired of Jerry and wish Glory would move on.
Debbie Ditiberio
I have read all the books in this series and really enjoy Glory and Blades on again off again relationship.

Gerry Bartlett figures that vampires are pretty much like everyone else except for the liquid diet.

Eternity or Mexican food? Tough call.

Then there’s the whole problem with sunlight. When would she treasure hunt for her own antiques business on the historic Strand in Galveston ?

Gerry’s a native Texan and lives halfway between Houston and Galveston with her own wonder dog, a Bedlington Terrier na...more
