There are not enough or sufficient words to describe how this book has changed how I see the world. I am nearly finished reading it, and it has given me a whole new perspective on what it means to feel gratitude. It explains the link between true "prayer" (the Fifth Mode of prayer) and quantum physics. All possibilities are possible. We choose. This book discusses a group I have had a large admoration for the last 15 years, using teachings from even 500 years before Christ from the mystical people, The Essenes, who had prophesied many of the things we understand better through the scope of science today. I love the marriage of science and spirit. I also appreciate the simple language in dealing with complex issues and the presentation of scientific information in relation to everyday life.
So far, I am having a hard time getting 'into' this book. It has been slow reading, which I was warned, but encouraged to let it absorb before reading on. It was recomended by a friend who knew I was struggling in a Science class. I let her know that I pray, and then thank God for giving me all I pray for, for I truly believe that God will give me all I need, even if sometimes his answer is not right now. This is an excellent book about prayer and it's effect not only on our personal lives but how the prayers of a few can effect the whole world. So pray for peace, love and harmony as you have no idea how wide-ranging positiveness going out brings about the very results you pray for. I borrowed this book from my local church library, and would like to own a copy as it is a good book to pick up and re=read to remind us to keep on the right track.
In my review of The Isaiah Effect, I give it five stars. This book opened my eyes to how powerful prayer actually is. All my life, I have believed in prayer, but I have never understood it. Could it be that God uses a so-called spiritual technology to communicate with us? The ancients certainly understood this concept. Have we gotten so caught up in our own physical technologies that we have forgotten the real power within us? I know I certainly have.

The book was pretty good, but hard to follow at points. It didn't have a great flow. It is very similar to books like "The Secret" in that it is a proponent of envisioning the future that you want. It links this ability to the power of prayer and encourages using prayer to envision what you want your life to be instead of asking for change in your current situation. Although interesting and some good points are made, I felt that the book's message would have better conveyed in a speech. The book lacks motivational oomph. And I'm always bothered by books or movies that have titles that are not clearly explained or that have little relation to the body of the work. The connection to the Book of Isaiah is so subtle in this book that it is easy to miss. The title also seems far afield when most of the scripture mentioned comes from elsewhere.
Gregg Braden is a fantastic researcher and author, for starters, who combines history, modern science and modern religious traditions from all over the world, to create a synthesis, and from that a wonderful new theory about how we can begin to use the cycles of history in conjunction with prophecy to better understand the role we play in the cycle.

Very good read. Braden tends to have novelist tenancies, which as a novelist, I enjoy, but some may not. He mixes science with spirituality quite well. This book explores many prophecies and it's interesting to see how many of them came true. Excellent insight on the end of the world/Mayan. Also Calendar. Also, good background for those interested in biblical studies, and prophets such as Edward Cayce, and Nostradamus.
Fascinating. I couldn't put it down. We have heard about many doomsday prophecies, but this book offers another prospective and backs it up though ancient writings, the effects of prayer and with the quantum physics. I learned so much. The author was able to explain complex concepts slowly and simply. This book is very profound and offers hope afterall for our planet. It surely has gotten to me.

One of the best books I've read on these subjects: spirituality and quantum physics & creating change in one's life and the world. Gregg Braden is a natural story teller. The way he wove personal experience with spiritual insight was a pleasure to read. A must-read for anyone who hopes to help shape a better world.
A fascinating look at ancient scriptures, prophecy and the technology of prayer, which has the potential to save our world, helping us safely through these turbulent times. Fits well with Mormon Doctrines. Braden also lists scriptures that have been arbitrarily altered or removed from our modern canon.
audiobook: excellent. Without a doubt, the best author on the merging of science and spirituality. HOW to pray, and new insights into how Jesus wanted us to pray. The Divine Matrix, along with Beyond Zero Point and Fractal Time are my favorite works.
I liked this. It brought many studies together and brought them together with spirituality in a way I liked. He spoke in a way as a scientist that is looking for spiritual tie ins and that brought a logic I enjoyed
Very interesting read. Braden explains how prayer works and the fact that what most of us know as prayer, is not what the ancients did. I learned the components of making it work.
If there were ever a book I would recommend everyone read, this is it!!! Essential for those whowant more from life and need a roadmap to get there.
