This book is the third in a trilogy, but the first I've read. It works quite well as a stand alone novel, though.
The book has a really great mix of action, adventure, mystery and romance set (mostly) in Victorian Era Scotland that I really found quite fun and enjoyable.

I love the premise of this book...treasure hunters or legend hunters. It brings to mind 'Indiana Jones'! I really liked Graeme but didn't connect as well as I would have liked with Vanessa.
The action and adventure and also the dialogue was well written but I wanted a bit more tension in the interactions between the characters. Also didn't feel like all the strings were tied up ...more
