Being a body double to try to find a killer is what she has signed up for. By her solving this case will mean her security firm will get the much needed business it deserves. Face of Danger is book 3 in one of my current, favorite, must read series, The Guardian Angelinos. These are absolutely standalone books, but I enjoy the layers you get when reading a series starting at the beginning. We first meet Vivi Angelino in book 1 as a feisty reporter who’s trying to talk her brother, Zach, into starting a family owned security firm. After much convincing, the firm is started up and The Guardian Angelinos are born....more

Face Of Danger by Roxanne St Claire

I was going to say this was my favorite book of the series but I love all of them. They are all books you can read over and over.

I absolutely love Vivi Angelino, she is a loner when it comes to relationships (because of her past) but she is a feisty character who plays by her own rules. you'll fall in love with her character ( I certainly did) . She's a skate boarding, nose piercing rebel trouble maker.
Vivi started a private security business with her brothe...more

As with any suspense novel I expect there to be a crime that I get to make guesses about the who done it while I’m reading. St. Claire has really made me feel differently about suspense novels. Face of Danger was complex with numerous twists and turns, it kept me guessing right up to the end. As soon as I would figure out who I thought the criminal was there would be a twist and I would begin to believe that person could possibly be a victim. Vivi steps into Cara’s life to try to prevent a seria...more

St. Claire has struck again with another phenomenal book in the Guardian Angelino’s series. This is book three, which focuses on one of the main founders of the ever-growing agency, Vivi Angelino, and her desire to once again push her company’s name into the spotlight by inserting herself in yet another dangerous investigation. This time, however, things are a little different as Vivi herself is the one to serve as a double for an actress whose name could...more

Face of Danger was fabulous and it has to be one of the best books of 2011 for me. Move over Bullet Catchers, this is my new favorite by Roxanne St Claire.

Vivi Angelino the heroine is the one who came up withe the idea of the Guardian Angelinos and her family thought she was crazy. Vivi is a former reporter, newly licensed PI and she is determined to put her company on the map, no matter what it takes.
Colton Lang is a by the book FBI Agent who Vivi loves to call a nerd and he is the complete op...more

What does it take you to forget past pain and let love take control?

Viviana Angelino took her family’s love and turned it into a family owned private security business that is just starting to see growth and expand into other areas with every new family member that comes onboard. Vivi loves what she and her family of misfits do but one small factor of followi...more

Love how the characters in this book Colton (Lang) and Vivi are brought to life. You get to see them in the other books but here they get to shine on their own. It's their story. You get a smidgen of Gabe in there and Chessie she's a little stingy of the giving the rest of the family a spot in this book lol. I do love my glimpse's of past and future characters and there is a surprise appearance by a bullet catcher at the end that i loved. Colton and Vivi both have some tough personal hurdles to...more

By far the best of The Guardian Angelinos series. After SHIVER OF FEAR, Shiver of Fear (The Guardian Angelinos, #2)
I was a bit leery of picking up and continuing with the series, but I did want to read Vivi and Lang's story. WOW - What a ride! Ms. St. Claire did not disappoint.

These two, Vivi and Lang, would be voted the least likely to succeed: Opposites attract. Vivi has kept a dark secret from her family for many years and it has affected her relationships with men. Slim to none would be the ca...more

Oh-my-God !

This one deserve a ten ! Definitely the best !

I could sell my soul in exchange for a kiss by Colton Lang.
Hell, just for a look from him. If you read my previous
reviews of the Guardian Angelinos, you already knew I'm
a little bit obssess with Special Agent in Charge Colton
Lang (try a little bit too much obssess). Okay, I'll try
to make coherent sentence an act like a 24 years old instead
of a 13 yrs old who's watching a Robert Pattison's movie. :p

Vivi Angelino is on a mission to get the name of her new company known. She decides to approach famous actress, Cara Ferrari, about working as a body double in order to protect her from a possible serial killer. When Cara agrees, Vivi finds herself disguised as Cara and under the protection of Special Agent Colt Lang. They’ve worked together before and she knows hiding her identity will be even harder than hiding how bad she has the hots for him. Colton has always thought Vivi was cute, but won’...more

My Review:
From the very start of this series, Vivi has been a wonderful character. A skater chick with a tough as nails attitude to match, but the brains of an ace investigative reporter tied up into one sexy little bundle. The Guardian Angelinos is her brain-child and she has HUGE plans for this company going big! I couldn't wait for her story, and OMG, it did NOT disappoint! This story was wonderful!!!

Face of Danger, the third in the Guardian Angelinos series, delivered everything I wished for. Roxanne is a new author for me. I decided to take a chance and I began reading this series and after finishing off all three stories in such a short time. I'll definitely be reading her other series and continuation from this series (there has to be more right?) I want more!! Face of Danger was superb. So were the other two books. I found myself laughing at the antics between the two leading characters...more

This is the first book I read in the Guardian Angelinos series and it was great. Vivi is a bit of an unusual heroine with her spiky hair and skateboard, but I loved her. She is smart and ambitious and seems to have no fear. And then there's Colton Lang, FBI Special Agent Hottie. I seem to really like heroes who are nice guys and Colton is one of the nicest. He is totally by-the-book and it was a great contrast to Vivi who is guts and passion.

Vivi's backstory made sense with the plot and wasn't...more

Best of the series so far. This installment focused on Vivi Angelino, the quirky, nutty, skateboarding, journalist punk sister of Zach who was the main character in the first novel. Ever since the first one, she has been my favorite of the series so it's no stretch I would give this a 5.

The writing was fantastic, St. Claire has such a gift with character development and infusing so much emotion in her characters that they almost seem real to the reader. You can't help but get involved. The story...more

3 1/2 stars. I would have given it a very solid 4 stars but I found the plot so far fetched that it annoyed me at times. First there was the huge coincidence of a private investigator so closely resembling a famous movie star that she could serve as convincing body double when that actress is being threatened. Then when the movie star began making so many fairly insane demands, I couldn't see any professional, rational PI/bodyguard accepting the absurd conditions she was dictating. So that nagge...more

I just finished reading this book. I wanted to wait for it to be on Kindle, but yesterday I was at a neighborhood bookstore and the owner was putting it out, so I grabbed one. I'm so glad I did, just because this one needs a place on the keeper shelf.

This book had absolutely everything I want in a romantic suspense. The main characters were wonderful, funny and real. The story line was "big" like a movie (in fact, it would make a wonderful movie) with action and plot twists and surprises. And th...more

Loved it! The best so far in the series. Vivi is a character we knew from the previous two books and Special Agent Colt Lang has been there throughout the books too. Well, finally they get their story and it is a great story. Since in the previous two books, we have felt the connection between these two even though they have been fighting it. They are two totally opposite people and think the other one can not feel the same way about them. In this book, the two finally get together and wow, can...more

Finally, Vivi Angelino gets her story! Straightlaced FBI agent Colton Lang tries to resist the quirky and definitely NOT straightlaced Vivi as he continues to funnel cases her way after the results her fledgling agency achieved that were detailed in Shiver of Fear. Choosing a somewhat radical solution to the conflict that she poses to him, Lang applies for a position on the other end of the country only to discover that he is going to be forced into even closer proximity to Vivi who has taken on...more

ok, so this series may be a spin off of the Bullet Catchers, but so far it's nowhere near as compelling. I really enjoyed the first one, Edge of Sight, but I'm afraid the magic was just missing in this installment, Face of Danger. I just couldn't muster up any empathy for either Vivi or Lang, our h/h. The plot was ok, which is why I gave it three stars, but the two main characters just fell flat for me. The sexual chemistry seemed forced, as if the two of them were being dragged along into a rel...more

I'm really liking this series and not just the close family feel of it. The characters are interesting and not your typical cookie cutter romantic suspense hero and heroine. I was particularity interested in Vivi Angelino right from the start of the series. Now it's time for her story and it didn't disappoint!

I won this book in Goodreads First Reads.

I'm surprised by how much I love this book. The first book of this series, Edge of Sight, was pretty much an Epic Fail. The second book of the series, Shiver of Fear, was a Mild Epic Fail, due in large part to Devyn's ridiculousness. So, the whole time I was reading Face of Danger, I really was surprised by how much I was actually enjoying it, and that it ended up being an Epic Success for me by the end. I was actually really intrigued by the whole concep...more

This was really good. I loved the heroine, she was strong, adventurous, and honest. Colt..oh my. Colt, he is my dream guy, a little nerd, a little old school, and a LOT of hot, alpha male in him when it comes to his female. The one thing about this book that I didn't like was that it was a little too long. I found myself skipping pages towards the end, but other than that, Face of Danger has everything one would want it a Romantic Suspense novel. Will look forward to more books in this series. I...more

My favorite of the series! I absolutely loved everything about this book--the characters, the plot, the romance, the suspense, the who-done-it, the action...all of it worked for me, and as an added bonus, it even made me cry.

Face Of Danger is the third book (you must read these in order) in Roxanne St. Claire's Guardian Angelinos series, and it was a real pleasure to read. We first meet the heroine, 32 year-old tomboy skateboarder, Vivi Angelino of the Boston area in book #1 (Edge of Sight), whe...more

I’m going to apologize in advance for all the gushing that is about to happen. Face of Danger is beyond fantastic! I knew I’d love Vivi. She has a great personality and she’s the creator and the brains behind The Guardian Angelinos. Her personality shined in the first two books and knew that it would continue to shine in this one. FBI Agent Colton Lang and Vivi bumped heads from day one. He’s a strictly by the book kind of guy and Vivi likes to break all the rules. When they are forced to work o...more
