Now I love Emily Hendrickson's books, but I had a hard time with this one, because the chain of events were so gonzo and too quick. It was a regency romance as played on the Holodeck of the Starship Enterprise, too many 'convenient' things kept happening. My suspension of disbelief was shot to xxxx. But my mom really liked it when she read it a few years back. So, in deference to her, I will say the book is good enough for a summer afternoon.

The Ivory Dragon is the second book by Emily Hendrickson I have read. I loved lady Harriet & lord Stanhope. I really enjoyed this book & would read it again. It's a good, clean romance.

Emily Hendrickson lives in Reno, Nevada, with her husband, a retired airline pilot. Of all the many places she has traveled around the world, England is her favorite, and the most natural choice as the setting for her novels. In addition to her Regency romances, she has written a Regency Reference Book.

She is also the recipient of the Romantic Times award for the Best Regency of 1993 for Elizabeth
