Just finished this one. I am not an authority on Regency novels, but I would think this is a true Regency novel. The hero & heroine exchange but a couple of kisses, very chaste, and both are very aware of how they should act in mixed company. I read all kinds of books, mystery, historical romance and contemporary romance including erotica in both those genres, but this book held my interest completely, with no sexual situations whatsoever, proving that a good story is a good story, and doesn ...more
Now I love Emily Hendrickson's books, but I had a hard time with this one, because the chain of events were so gonzo and too quick. It was a regency romance as played on the Holodeck of the Starship Enterprise, too many 'convenient' things kept happening. My suspension of disbelief was shot to xxxx. But my mom really liked it when she read it a few years back. So, in deference to her, I will say the book is good enough for a summer afternoon.

The Ivory Dragon is the second book by Emily Hendrickson I have read. I loved lady Harriet & lord Stanhope. I really enjoyed this book & would read it again. It's a good, clean romance.

Standard Regency fare, no surprises. Gentle, gradual romance.
