This is a good book about three historically great individuals. Just reading about these three giants was a pleasure, and it has renewed my desire to read the enormous and definitive biography of John Paul II "Witness to Hope." An unlikely alliance that changed the world. Some interesting insights into the the partnership of President Ronald Reagan, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Pope John Paul II, based on their common Conversative ideology and recognition of Communism as evil. O'Sullivan sometimes stretches to find a pattern, commonality or purpose in some aspects, but on the whole he does a good job of defending his case of the world-changing impact of these three giants.

Great book for those who were children of the eighties, and might have missed some of the details of the time (I was in college, and thus a little distracted during the time.) Most of the Reagan details I knew from other readings, but the contributions of Thatcher and JP II were illuminating, and the relationships between the three were nothing short of amazing.

Loved it! A review of how Reagan, Pope John Paul and Maggie tore down that wall, which resulted in the end of the 20th Century. Required reading, especially in an era when we're quick to pass judgment on current events without understanding the greater context of what can happen.

A wonderful book that shows that all three were vital to the anti-Soviet strategy of the West that won the Cold War.
