Dare Wright fans can jump for joy knowing that three new Wright classics have been reissued with more on the way, and Holiday For Edith was the one I was waiting for the most.
Edith and her two bear pals take a vaycay to Okracoke Island in North Carolina, hanging out by the beach and disrupting the local ponies and baby seagulls - check out the mother's angry look at the dolls in one shot.It all ends up with a suspenseful boat ride in the ocean worthy of Herman Melville.
As usual, Wright's dolls...more

Another sweet story by Dare Wright starring her perfectly posed doll, Edith. Holiday is a timeless tale of why children (Edith and Little Bear) should listen to their elders (Mr. Bear). The photography, as always, is fantastic. Some of the photos can also been seen in Look at a Gull, and they were taken on Dare's favorite island of Ocracoke.
