As I'm reading some of Diana Palmer's older books I'm not liking many of the "heroines". Most of her backlog of books are from the 70s and 80s but to me they're almost degrading to women. They almost always have a stereotypical job (in this book a legal secretary)which they may or may not quit upon marriage. uwhhhhhh.......kenapa ya meskipun DP bnyk penggemarnya,,,aku lumayan gak cocok ama karakter2 cowo DP.....suer deh nyebelin abis....
dan di cerita ini pun regan, sang tokoh utama pria tak kalah nyebelinnya...awalnya sih niatnya baik, ingin menolong kenna, sang cinderella mendapatkan pangerannya, yang tak lain adalah adik tiri regan...tapi pada akhirnya dia sendiri yang jatuh ke dalam pesona kenna....
tak mau mengakui ketertarikannya terhadap kenna, regan terus mencoba menyak More...

This hero actually grew on me with his "ugly" butt!! :-)
I liked the tension, confusion, and the heroine wasn't a TOTAL doormat. The make-over was realistic. I really liked that he already liked the heroine pre-makeover and was just doing this to help her catch his brother. Uh huh. I saw through that one. The big old teddy bear was helping her get the courage she needed to seduce HIM...only THEY didn't know it at the time.

Regan Cole/Keena Dean-he was a "rich" rancher she was the secatary for him & his brother Denny and she thought that she was in love Denny then Regan came up with the idea to act like they were dating to setup Denny because he was dating a "gold digger" and planed on marring her......but it backfired on Regan because he fell in love with Keena !!!!

This is one of Diana Palmer's earlier works and it shows. Kenna is in "love" with her boss Danny, who never sees her. Danny's brother Regan wants to put a stop to Danny seeing the current girl friend that he has so come up with a plan to make Danny jealous... There is more going on then Kenna realizes and she realizes who she really loves.

baca yg 1 ini ada keselnya, di ceritain kyknya kenna norak banget ampe di bantuin ama regan, belakangnya si regan yg jatuh cinta ama kenna. Buku gue uda jadul banget yg ini, tp tetep suka.

hubungan boss dengan sekretaris yg udh sering di crita2 HQ..
mungkin di kehidupan nyata ga ada boss selancang n setega Regan kali yh
gile aja dy mengkritik cara berpakaian n makeupnya si Kenna
mulai seru pas tengah2 sih
pas si Kenna udh mulai dmen Regan
apalagi yg pas Kenna langsung meluk Regan pas tu cowo dapet kcelakaan
so sweet
entah knapa gw lebih suka Diana Palmer pas masih nulis buat ukuran Harlequin gini daripada yang jam More...

Great story. Reached out to the Cinderella in me. :-) A made for TV movie was made of this story but was given a different setting. The book is much better!

Unusual for Palmer -- there are two "other women," and neither is evil! But not a storyline that interested me.

This is one of my all time favorite books. I am not sure what it is about it, but I love it. Its my comfort book, one of the ones I constantly go back and reread.

The story was just okay but the romance was interesting. Regan and kenna had the sparks. There were some really funny moments. DP always has good sense of humors with her books. The romance was sweet and touching. Not the best from DP, but I still loved this book.
