I'm not sure why I only gave this 3.5 stars the first time around. I've read it twice more since then and I'm seriously tempted to give it five stars. I think maybe my opinion the first time was affected by the fact that I hadn't read Lawless yet, which is the book that precedes this one and the two are very connected. If you just read Renegade you miss a lot of back story and character nuances. So I'm guessing that the first time I read the story, I felt like I w...more

If you've read Diana Palmer books in that past, you'll pretty much know what to expect. Sweet young virgin (or at least totally sexually inexperienced woman) falls in love with older, tortured man who's amazing in bed and teachs the heroine how great sex is. Some kind of danger conspires to keep things interesting, then they live happily ever after. If that's what you want to read, then you'll be satisfied. However, I like a little more in a romance. I wasn't very sure of how I would rate this book since there were some pretty WEIRD moments in it, but after thoughtful consideration I think it deserves 4 stars since it was entertaining, had lots of LMAO moments and I loved some of the sexxxy scenes ;)

My first Diana Palmer book. Because this was my first, I enjoyed the heroine's unswerving devotion for her hero. Nobody writes never-ending love like Palmer! Anyway, this is suppose to be a positive review, so I'll try and keep it that way.

ternyata, Cash tidak 'sebaik' di Lawless dan Tippy tidak seburuk yg ak kira..
pokoknya kliatan deh asli nya cash ma tippy disini...
cash & tippy, masing2 punya trauma masa lalu yang menyakitkan. Cash blm bisa ngelupain perkawinannya dulu jadi bikin dy agak sedikit tertutup ma perempuan terkecuali dengan crissy (baca LAWLESS, cash amat sangat perhatian dg crissy)
klo tippy, orangnya beneran tegar malah terkesan pasrah, sempet kesel sih ma tippy di LAWLE...more

I have to preface my review by saying two things:
A - I loved Lawless
B - I really wanted to like this book
So there it is. I was really disappointed in this book, and I know why. I loved Lawless and I loved Cash Grier in that book. I also *loathed* Tippy. And unfortunately, no matter how had I tried, that loathing carried over. I also didn't feel like Cash was the same person as he was in Lawless. He just felt somewhat different, in my opinion. ceritanya bagus, karakter Cash & Tippy sama-sama kuat, yang satu kasar & curigaan, sedangkan Tippy lembut dan pemaaf. Keduanya punya trauma di masa lalu dan pada akhirnya bisa mengatasi trauma masing-masing.
Bukan salah satu buku Diana Palmer terfavorit, tapi lumayan buat selingan diantara serbuan HR akhir-akhir ini.

I could not stand Cash Grier and Tippy went from smart grl to sorry girl. He redemed himself in Lawman. But man I wanted to hit him over the head in this book. Diana Palmer is one of those writers that get me so involved with the characters! I wanted to bless Cash Griers sorry alpha hide!
Lots of drauma in this one. Great story, great characters and lots of past hurts to try and get over. I enjoyed it but I guess maybe some part of me wishes Cash hadn't been soooo hung up on the past. But hey, it was time well spent. Still enjoyes it and look forward to more Palmer.

Cast yah, agak mirip tokoh heronya tante DP yg laen lah.. takut merit, ganteng, kaya raya, bermasalalu kelam n takut sama yg namanya kasih sayang
tp Cast memendam terlalu banyak kebencian, sampe aku teriak2 "cape bgt si marah n benci mulu ke orla" hehehehe *seteres sendiri*

Cash Grier/Tippy Moore-he was the cheif of police in Jacobville Texas she was a Hollywood starlet (who was abused by her stepfather early on life) they met while she was filming a movie in J'ville on the ranch owned by Judd Dunn & Christabel Gaines.
A great read, but I kinda lost interest since so many other things were going on in the real world... like work and school. It's why it took me longer than usual to finish this book and finally learn Cash and Tippy's story. I also like Rory--he's a little firecracker of a man, for a 9 year old.
Ooooo I remember this one too... With Tippy's snooty movie star attitude and Cash's cold bad boy demeanor...I can't believe I've forgotten about reading all of these!

Love this story
A great story -- Police Chief, Cash Grier and Model/Actress, Tippy Moore, but lots of editorial errors and I'm not just talking about spelling. Names are wrong (Brady instead of Hardy in one spot) and titles are wrong -- Lt. Garcia on one page, a couple of pages later he's a sergeant and a couple of pages after that he's back to a Lt. There were no demotions and re-promotions in the book.
