A Review of Astronomy, The Definitive Guide by Robert Burnham, Alan Dyer, and Jeff Kanipe, Barnes and Noble Books, 2003.

The Guide is for sky-aware people, but mostly for beginners. It covers, entirely in glossy pages, the adventure of knowing more about the Universe in two parts. In the first part of this sensibly sized book is information in easy to understand language about the Earth and beyond in today's astronomy. Advice about acquiring and using binoculars and/or telescopes is also given. I

I totally loved this book. It taught me so much on different galaxies, different hemispheres, constellations and nebulas. I enjoyed this book so much that I have been doing massive amounts of research on the different elements and their bonds in distant nebulas. It has turned out that I have gotten so interested that I have began taking look into dark matter and what REALLY holds the galaxies together if regular covalent/ isotopic bonds are too weak, there must be something greater than any ...more

Najbolja moguca knjiga o astronomiji za pocetnike i one koji zele otkriti i spoznati tajne nocnog neba. Knjiga je prepuna informacija, podataka i predivnih slika. Mene i nakon nekoliko godina sto ju imam odusevljava. :)

Robert Burnham is an American science writer, who specialises in the fields of astronomy and astronautics. His career has included a position as editor of "Astronomy" magazine. Currently, he is the public information officer at the Mars Space Flight Facility of Arizona State University.

(Not to be confused with the author of "Burnham's Celestial Handbook", who was Robert Burnham Jr.)
