I thought this was cute, but my son couldn't handle it! Junie B Jones is a mini version of me.

I can agree with Junie B. thinking that she has a monster under her bed. When I was little I thought that there was a monster in my closet. I found out later that there was no monster in my closet just my clothes. Junie B. discovers that her school pictures are funny because she is making a stinky face in the picture and her mom is laughing at the pictures because her daughter's face is so funny. Junie discovers drool on her pillow when she comes home from school and she wonders if the drool ca More...

Junie thinks that there are lots of ghostly things under her bed. In another one of the Junie B. Jones series books, Junie B. is having yet another dilemma she has to solve. In this story, Junie B’s friends from her kindergarten class convince her that there is a monster under her bed, even though Mommy and Daddy say there is no such thing. Junie B. is then terrified of what lies beneath her bed. Until, she gets the terrific idea of putting a bad school picture of herself under the bed to scare More...

I think kids would like this book because of Junie B.'s silly character. I think this book is funny because I use to be scared of things under my bed. I also thought something would bite my toes! I think this could be a great fun read for kids.

This is a book about Junie B Jones and her scare of having a monster under her bed. In the beginning of the book Junie asks a boy in her class if he has ever woke up with droll on his pillow. He said that he did and it was monster drool. The book then tells different situations where Junie would be scared and try not to think about it and more people would try to convince her there were monsters. In the end Junie and her mom laugh about the monster and Junie exclaims, “But that doesn’t mean More...

Now my 7-year-old son is reading Junie B. Jones. Hurray!

I love Junie B. Jones. I never tire of reading about her antics, in her adorable, believable voice.

I think this is my favorite Junie B. Jones book so far. I laughed out loud at least once a chapter. So simple and silly and HILARIOUS.

Barbara Park, I love you.

(I can't decide if I should give this 4 stars or 5, which probably means it's a 4 star book. How about we'll split the difference and More...

My daughter is 4, has freckles, is extremely spunky and loves, LOVES Junie B Jones.
Her review of this books is that Junie B is very silly and should know that there are no such things as monsters under her bed. Junie B's friend Grace should know better than to get her scared in the first place! And Jim really is a meanie!

She loved me reading this book to her, and I enjoyed reading it. Barbara Park has a way with making Junie B very real and very funny. I actually laugh out More...

This was the latest "chapter book" that I read with my kids. It was cute and perfectly geared to my son's age (he's six). It was still a little old for my three year old. It only took about three 15-20 minute reading sessions to get through, which was nice. We will most likely be reading more Junie B. Jones books over the summer. Does anyone have any great suggestions for chapter read alouds for a six year old?

My daughter loves these books. But the misspellings bug the heck outta me. Some people say, "That's how kids that age talk". I disagree. When my five year old daughter makes gramatical mistakes, I correct her, and she learns. Junie B. Is so annoying because she does not seem to want to learn. The books are less bad as stand-alones, because the lack of character development over the series is so disappointing.

I can so relate to kids not wanting to sleep because they are scared over SILLY things they come up with in their imagination so they don't have to go to bed! I love the picture of the angry mother when Junie B. disturbs her in bed - I completely saw myself! I love how the ugly school picture of Junie B. finally solved the problem! Who would have thought?!?

Junie B. Jones is a little girl in kindergarten. One day at school she finds out that a monster lives under her bed. When she gets home, she tells her family what she learned. Everyone tries to tell her that there is no such thing as monsters, she does not believe them. She drives her family crazy until she comes up with a way to get rid of the monster.

Read my 1st Junie B. Jones book for my online class. This is still a popular series at my school. It was cute - written in the way a kindergartner would talk. I liked how she described the adults reactions to her wild claims and how she calls her teacher Mrs. I know that teachers here hate that and I did too! Glad to know it is not only at this school!

This is probably my least favorite Junie B. Jones book that we've read so far. Junie B. thinks there is a monster under her bed, which is not exactly an original plot.

I was a little concerned that this book would make my six year old nervous about monsters.

However, it's still pretty funny and, like all the Junie B. books, the ending is cute.

There's no such thing as monsters. Mother and Daddy even said so. But then why is there monster drool on Junie B.'s pillow? Oh, no! What if Paulie Allen Puffer is right- what if she really does have a monster under her bed? If Junie B. goes to sleep, the monster might see her feet hanging down. And he might think her piggy toes are yummy little wiener sausages!

These books are AWFUL!! I bought two at a used book store for my 5 year old in kindergarten. I hate them--I have to correct grammar as I go along. I get what the author was trying to capture, but isn't our job to teach proper language skills, not validate bad pronunciation and grammar? I will NEVER buy another one of these.

Every year on Picture Day I pull this book out and read parts of it out loud to 2nd grade. I read the chapter where she has her photo taken, and then I read the chapter where she gets her finished photos. Kids can definitely relate. Junie B's decision about what she should do with her school photo is perfectly hilarious.

This book contains some very funny scenes, and is written with the same freshness of spirit that makes the Junie B. Jones series such a success, and so much fun to read. Barbara Park's creativity in story and situation shines bright, and the resulting book will be greatly appreciated by many readers.

I was worried that this book might help to activate my kids imaginations about monsters under their beds, but it just gave us ample opportunity for talking about silly Junie B. and how monsters are not real. We laughed a lot at her antics and enjoyed every page.

My youngest daughter, Kelsea, loved the Junie B. Jones series beginning in 1st grade. I don't care for the use of improper grammar especially for young children, but she was engaged and we read lots of hours of Junie B. Jones.

Cute. I read it because I wanted to test out my libraries ebook lending to my Kindle and it was the first one available. I think it's probably worth a read if you've got kids in this reading level.
