My 7-year-old son recently told me that he wants to own the entire Junie B. Jones set. The price tag is $50. Umm, this is what the library is for, friend. Still, I love that he loves them because I love them, too!
Favorite part 1:
That dumb old baby takes up all of Mother's time.
And he's not even interesting.
He doesn't know how to roll over. Or sit up. Or play Chinese checkers.
He is a dud, I think.
I would like to take him back to the hospital. But Mo More...

This book is one of the easier books I read it still counted though. What I got out of it was that you need to think before you speak so that you don’t say something you don’t mean or if you even think about thinking twice about what you say so I think people really need to watch what they say. I also learned that friends come and go and that you should always be yourself so that people will get a good impression on you. After you make a good impression you have to keep your good personality s

I chose Junie B. Jones and Her Big Fat Mouth for contemporary realistic fiction. In this book Junie B. Jones is told to think of what she wants to be for Job Day at her school. She doesn't know what she wants to be so she decides she wants to be a janitor, a painter and someone who saves the world. A little boy on the bus tells her there is no such job and she yells at him with her loud mouth. Her mouth is always getting her in trouble in school, at home with her new baby brother and with her fr

Cute story - this one is about Career Day. At first, Junie doesn't know what to pick, but she ends up choosing a very unique job. I like that she shows how any job can be something to admire. Our girls enjoyed this book very much.

Junie B. Jones: adorable, hilarious, and just what any kindergarten girl needs to hear as she says and does everything a girl might WANT to, but doesn't.
Junie B. tells everyone on the bus that she has the absolute best, most amazing job in mind for career day, but in fact she doesn't. With many antics and much zaniness, she finally comes up with an idea. When her classmates laugh at her choice, they get a lesson in respecting any work well done. Junie B. comes out on top as usual bu More...

I seriously sat down to read this while I nursed and finished the entire book before she finished eating. These are very short books when I'm not reading them to my kids. I can also see more of the humor because I'm not so focused on editing and explaining her language.
The grammar and exaggerated bad language still bother me, but I guess I can see that they add to the character of Junie B. However, I have a 5 year old and he doesn't talk like that. I'll read the next one because More...

An easy read. Finished it in less than 30 minutes. I love the cover so much, the story is as well cute. About Junie B. Jones that would be having a Career Day in School. At first she didn't know what would she become when she grew up and what should she present in school for the Career Day. Her friends came up with various jobs, she thought of becoming like them as well, but of course she couldn't cause she had to choose just one job. Finally she came up with a simple but really special kind of

This was my popular series book.
I really liked the Junie B. Jones books growing up. Even though they're told from the point of view of a young girl, children of both genders would like these books. They're funny, and about things that these children actually have to deal with. This story is told completely from Junie B.'s point of view, so you really get to relate to her as a character. I'm sure my students will be reading these books for years to come.

Dear readers,
On a very sunny afternoon, In Junie B.'s class room, There are Alphabet on the white board. Kids whispering about the job day what they'll be when they grow up.
The thing that made me interest is where they're talking about the job day.
Junie B. is very nervouse and confused because she didn't know what to be when she grow up.

These are horrible books for kids. I started reading them to my kindergartner. She loves them, but she has also started acting just like Junie-horrible, bratty and mouthy. All these books do is give kids ideas of how to misbehave. And her grammar is horrible. I would not let your kids read these, nor would I read any to them.

My older daughter and my husband read all of the Junie B. books together when she was in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Now my younger son has started reading them with me. This was our first one to read & it was hilarious! We loved it! Can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!

Sometimes life is P.U. Junie B.'s having a rough week. First she got punishment for shooting off her mouth in kindergarten. And now she's in big trouble again! 'Cause Monday is Job Day, and Junie B. told her class that she's got the bestest job of all. Only, what the heck is it?!?

Junie B. Jones is one of my most favorite series. My third grade teacher would always have her husband who was a police officer come in and bring us doughnuts and read to us once a week:)I picked this one because I used to yell at girls that had big fat mouths!!!:)

If you don't enjoy reading Junie B. Jones I think there might be something wrong with you...she is just too funny! As a teacher I enjoy so much reading in her cute voice and saying the off the wall things she comes up with. And the kids enjoy it also...

Hey guess what? I am loving these Junie B. Books! That lady who wrote these books is a great writer. I bet she was in room nine when she was in kindergarten. Except she must of been more smarter then everyone cause she wrote these books! (*__*)

I find Junie to be quite irritating *but* I read this one with a small group of low sixth graders and they thought it was hilarious. Apparently this is only funny stuff if you are 12 and under... so for that reason I give it 3 stars.

This chapter book has excellent dialogue and is very easy for children to relate to. I would recommend reading this as a read aloud and then putting other Junie B Jones books around the classroom for children to read during SSR.

All of Barbara Park's books are what got me interested in reading. Junie B. Jones and her outragous nonsense made me luagh as a child and still makes me smile. These are the books that can build very good reading skills.

Junie B. likes to be the center of attention. This story is non the less of that. It is Job Day at Junie’s school and once again Junie must be the best. She wants to come up with the best and unique job of all her friends in her class. Junie gets her self in trouble by being a big mouth on class and speaking up at the wrong times.

As always, this story left me wondering how Barbara Park is possibly able to cram such humor and depth into so short a space. Junie B. Jones is an inspired creation, and I enjoyed this book very much.

i think our mouths gets us in trouble most of the time .... Why because most of the time we just say what we are thinking when we should just be quiet ...
