Cape May, Book 2

Tory Jeffries likes things simple. A modest home, a web design business, easygoing men. Except there’s never one around when she needs one—and she needs a date for the event of the year, her friend Con Walker’s annual Christmas party. Not that she couldn’t go alone, but spending the evening as

Recommends it for: Fans of friends-to-lovers ménage short stories
Well...not all that much going on in this one, but since it is a short story, I won't be overly critical. "What She Craves" is your basic friends-to-lovers story, but with a twist. It's a friends to lovers ménage story.

Pretty blonde Tory is best friends with tall, dark, intense, and uber rich (how he got that way, I'm not exactly sure) Con, and tall, dark and flirty Devon. Devon and Con are best buds, like brothers, sharing some kind of sad upbringing in foster care (this wasn't detailed much)....more
Quick, easy, totally hot read. I like the idea of the next book, a quick glimpse into how two, never shared a woman before men are working out the kinks of this kind of relationship. I also liked how Tory didn't just jump in during the "afterglow". She went home to think about all the aspects of a menage relationship. Wouldn't mind reading Summer's story, but I think I'll have to pretend Gage has hair. Shaved heads just aren't my thing! :)
Tory Jeffries is Summer Chase’s best friend and is introduced in “What She Wants”. As well as operating he own web design business, she helps Summer out at the B&B. “What She Craves”, is friends to lovers romance which is my favorite theme and Anne Rainey offers two for the price of one in this story because as the synopsis alludes it is a menage a trois involving Tory and her two closest male friends Devon and Con. Ms. Rainey characterizes two very strong alphas in these guys who are best f...more

Cecile Smutty Hussy’s Review:

What She Craves is a super short story but I have to say two things…..
1.) Oh my gosh is this book hot
2.) I want my own Con & Devon
Okay, so I have to add a third…
3.) This story really was too freaking short! I.WANT.MORE!!!!!

Three best friends… One night… Will Christmas Eve bring about miracles?

Devon and Con want what they have always wanted…. Tory. But can they make her see that what they want from her goes beyond just one night… Can her heart survive more than on...more
Tory does not want to spend Christmas Eve intruding on her best friend’s holiday with her new boyfriend. When one of Tory’s male friends, Devon, calls her, she agrees to go to a party with him in Anne Rainey’s WHAT SHE CRAVES, book 2 of her CAPE MAY series. Tory is not aware that Devon and Con, the party’s host, have decided that this Christmas will be one none of them will forget. Both men want her and have made a pact to show her how much they want and love her.

I liked Tory. She is independen...more
The novella format does not really do justice either to the character or to the story which does not go much further beyond their first time. Everything seemed a bit too easy.
The hot scenes were good enough, the writing as well, but the story would have been better if more developed. For instance, there were several mentions done about two cheesecakes but it seemed like they never eat any.
Tory was Summer's friend in book one, and at least in this short story, she knew her bedmates before leaving a party to go upstairs and sleep with thme both - huh? She decides after two days, this can work, and wants to date them both. Story done!
Short story porn. It was fun but I think I would have enjoyed it more as a full novel.
Nan* doesn't have enough time to read*
This deserves a 3.5 and if it was longer I probably would have given it a 4.
