As some reviewers said, yes it's an odd story. It's literary fiction so it's not linear and not a simple read. But I found the two main characters compelling, and as one person said it has a feeling of "fae" about it. Almost magical realism.

But I would also recommend it to the sort of serious teens who like authors like Ellen Hopkins.

I bought this novella because it was cheap and I wanted a quick read. It was a fascinating exploration of codependent relationships between young girls. The plot is not very complex, but the character transformation drives the story of Regan and the unnamed narrator. If you are looking for something to read on a rainy day, a plane, or a sleepless night this would be a good ebook to download.

My mood: confused as hell.

What a weird book.
I don't understand - What happened to the main character? She just ran? And I still don't understand what was wrong with Regan. Why did both these female characters behave the way they did towards each other? What was the pull?
There are so many unanswered questions that instead of being awed by the mystery, I'm frustrated by it. Or did my copy miss a whole chunk of this novella...?
My brain hurts...

I'm still a little unsure of this book. I think I'll need a few days to process it and figure out what the hell that was all about?

I the story was quite strange and it didn't seem to have much of a point to it.
