For my book review I chose to do the book The Pretty Committee Strikes Back by Lisi Harrison. Basically the plot in this book is, TPC finds out their school is going on a school trip to Lake Placid with their brother school Briarwood. TPC is really excited, they go shopping for new outfits, have meetings about what they are going to talk about with the boys. At Lake Placid the girls really find out a lot about their crushes and things don’t quite go as they had planned. The theme of t...more

The book opens with Massie and the rest of the Pretty Committee in geography class at OCD. Mr. Myner, the eccentric teacher, is blabbering on about topography, a topic that captures the interests of few. Massie zones out, and starts thinking about Derrick Harrington, the alpha and popular star goalie for the Tomahawks, the Briarwood Academy soccer team. But when Mr. Myners mentions the upcoming trip to Lake Placid, everyone's attention is now in his hands. Despite his attempts to say that they w...more

Kristin is poor now, what a good news...no it's not.
My favorite PC member is Claire. She's smart, sweet, and beautiful. Massie is next, she's clever, definitely, and she COULD be sweet if she WANTS to. But she's mean...Alicia is good, pretty girl, with an evil heart. Dylan, Kristin, I dunno them much.
Massie, you don't HAVE to pretend to be a great lip-kissing master. You are like, what, only 12? It DOESN'T matter? You know what'll really earn you respect from people? Knowl...more

This is by-far my favorite book out of the whole series so far. But let me just get something out there: Just because you read about girls saying stuff like "ah-mazing" and LBR, doesn't mean you have to copy them to be cooler. Or act cliquey-er, cuz that'll get you practically no-where in life. Ok, I'm done with that--->This book is about the Pretty Committee (minus Kristen) going to Lake Placid on a school field trip. Massie- She's freaked about being a good kisser and kissing Derr...more

Another Clique flick! In this one, the Brairwood boys and girls get together on a camping trip. Everyone gets excited about everything, and there goes another shopping spree with Massie and the rest of the Pretty Committee. Things go wild and crazy when they set up a group called M.U.C.K to learn how to kiss-- for you know, just in CASE anyone wants to kiss them.
I recommend this book to all the girls out there who wants books that tell the truth. Every school is very cliquey, and every...more

this series is great for conversations with my daughter on social issues she is just beginning to encounter. The books are about a clique of 12 year old girls with a lot of money, social status and clothes. There's a wanna be, too, who struggles with her own identity and preferences, especially when they clash with the clique. The girls in the clique are evil...or are they? It's raised a number of good discussions with my daughter on topics such as being part of the 'in crowd', being on the ...more

OMG! The best in the series. i am soo mad i dont have the next book because when the girls got expelled i wanted to just read RIGHT away to the next one. I loved a character at one point and then hated them right afterwards!!!
Cam and Derrington are the sweetest and Cam is the best out of everyone!!!
I feel SO bad for Kristen all of her hard work has gone to waste.
I really want to know what happens, i know they'll get back into school but HOW and WHEN!

The Clique goes to Lake Placid!!
All of the 7th grade(....I think it's seventh) goes to Lake Placid as a trip for Mr. Myner's class, the Pretty Commitee gets really exited and they pack up 4 suitcases worth (each) of clothes. Mr. Myner does not approve of it so he limmits them to 2 outfits for the week.
Claire and Cam also have a bunch of drama 2.....

Its the first co-ed trip for the girls at OCD and everyone is excited. This the perfect oppertunity for Massie to get her first kiss from Derrington. Trouble arises when Kristin, who couldn't afford the trip, sneaks away to be with the Pretty Committee. This does not end well. This is one of my favorite of the Clique Series.

It's full of adventure, romance, and decievers (>):) (btw if u don't get it that's a smiling peep w/ like an evil grin under the sweet face...so The Clique-ish)

This book was ah-mazing. It was great to see someone with all the flaws that they have realize and stumble. Its nice to know that even though people think shes perfect shes not. This book had an excellent ending. After this one they all do. They all leave you hanging on the last sentence.

I like this book because it's very descriptive and tells how hard it is to be in a book. Sometimes and just makes me want to pull the characters out of the book and yell,"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!" WARNING!: MAY CAUSE READERS TO ACT MORE CLIQUEY.

This is a very good book. Is it just me, or do the books get better as you get farther along in the series?? Anyways, in this book the girls have all changed and the Pretty Committee is having trouble adjusting to the changed. Happy reading! :]

the leader of the pretty committee is holding a kissing clinic before going on a school camping trip. Thing is, she's never kissed her boyfriend, and everything she says about him and her is a lie.

Read the whole series until Dial L for Loser (am reading soon). I'm enjoying the series a lot.
I picked up a book at work because I was bored and it was The Clique (#1). I couldn't put it down and continued reading.

All of the books in this series are pretty pointless to tell you the truth but i mean they have humor and they're just like a ritzy middle school in NY, so i mean i read them for the humor, but not much else to them.

I really like this one! This is one of the most awesome books in the series! I love how they get out of the school/rich houses/fancy neighborhood environment and take a trip to the woods!

I really like these silly books alot. I am a sucker for easy fast YA stuff. This series focuses alot of designers and fashions and I like that alot. They are fun and fast.
