The first part of the book is a complete waste of trees. Dershowitz expounds upon his collection habits, and it's an incredibly banal discussion. Much of the rest of the book is cobbled together from things that he's written in the past. There are some interesting passages scattered throughout, but the whole book felt like he rushed to get it written. It's a cool story, and I especially enjoyed the vicarious thrill of purchasing valuable books and papers from a respectable bookseller. The story does have a few draggy spots, a few dull byways.
