I liked this about the same as Leading Change, though this one was quicker and more thought-provoking (because the entire thing hinges on thought-provoking questions). It gave a good roadmap for defining a business' primary customer, core values and performance measurements, as well as fostering creative tension (innovation + sense of urgency). Blind spots: didn't address the attitudes that drive success, and didn't address how a leader must act to develop loyalty and build a guiding coalition....more

One of the best books on strategy that I've read. A very quick read. I'm usually turned off by books that have "Seven steps to..." or "Six ways..", and this book would probably be better served by making it a short pamphlet... seemingly the epitaph of most business books with catchy titles. However, I still enjoyed the allegories that back up each of his questions.
