I really liked Undressing Mercy, the previous book in this series, so I was very excited to read its sequel. Has Barenaked Jane lived up to my expectations? Hmmm...
Jane Tilwell, who was Mercy's funny and smart-mouthed Assistant in the previous book, is the new Assistant Director at the Holman Gallery now. She's very independent and doesn't have the slightest interest in any romantic relationship. Oh, she does like sex as much as the next woman and she even has a "...more

This was an alright novel. It moved along pretty well, just ended prematurely. It didn't seem finished. I would've liked to see what Jane's decision on the relationship was and more scenes of her and Mathias getting to know each other and dealing with being a couple. This is my first read by Deanna Lee and this is actually the second in the trilogy. I am curious to read bk# 3 cause the plot sounds good. The one good thing about this novel was I wasn't lost having not read the first novel.
Jane Tidwell & Mathias Montgomery
She's a hard-ass ex-cop who lost her partner and got shot so now works in an art museum. He's hired as head of security team and they hook up immediately. Her ex-boyfriend starts stalking her so she has a talk with his blue-blood man to stop it.
I didn't like her at all - too caustic. Interracial

This seemed very choppy to me. The writing did not flow from one scene into the next. The sex was okay, but not all that hot. It was an okay book, but not a keeper.
