I read the book "Two-Minute Drill" by Mike Lupica. Mike Lupica used great details and made me feel like I was in Scott’s shoes. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I liked everything about this book and how Scott had to face many struggles throughout the story.

This book started off when Scott went to a new school and was thinking about joining the football team. Chris Conlan, the best football player in the school, convinced Scott to join the football team. He was not very good and never g

I read the book, "Comeback Kids, Two-Minute Drill." I very much liked this book and wanted to keep reading it. I liked everything about this book and how he had to face many struggles through out this book. It is by far one of my favorite sports books that I have read. The way that this book started all the way to the end was very good.

This book started off when Scott went to a new school and was thinking about joining the football team. He decided that he wanted to join so he did. He was not v

I read the book "Two-Minute Drill" by Mike Lupica. This book kept me wanting to read. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. There was not a dull moment in the book where there was not something going on.

This book is about a young boy name Scott Parry. He is the new kid in town and is not very athletic at all. What he lacks in size and strength, he makes up for with his brain. He is by far the smartest kid in his class. He feels as if he will go through another year all alone when something

Then he meets a friend named Chris. then they try out for a football team .they make it they go undefeated then they reach the championship .then they have fourth down at the end o the game they have to kick it and john nails it .

I think the book was good book because it had good point. Because it’s about a kid who gets bullied. Then he did a tryout and for a team and makes it. But the

Two-Minute Drill was a good book. In the book a boy named Scott loved football, he wasn’t good at it; Scott was smart when it comes to school. Another boy named Chris that played football was really good, but had dyslexia. There was also a bully named Jimmy Dolan that didn’t like Scott. During the book Scott had to help Chris with school, so Chris can still play football. Then Chris would help Scott with football. The only confusing part about the book is the words they used like straight-arm f ...more

Mike Lupica wrote the "Two-Minute Drill" to entertain and relate to the reader. This book is about a boy named Scott. He moves to a new school and gets bullied a lot. He doesn't make any friends till this one day that the town football player Chris get a picture of Scotts dog away from the bully. Have you ever wondered what is feels like to have no friends when your new? If you do then you should read this book. This book is a realistic fiction. I think this is a really good book.
Scott wanted to have friends but no body wanted to be his friend because he was really smart and they called him the brain. So when his bully opened his backpack and then a guy named Chris helped him and was his only friend. Then Chris and Scoot joined the football team and Scott made the punt to help his team

Two Minute Drill by Mike Lupica in my opinion was a fantastic book. Scott a boy who just moved, he loves football more than anything but when he moves to his new school he has no friends. Jimmy Dolan a bully also a football fanatic is mean to Scott untill one day the QB for the school team Chris comes up and stands up for him. Scott and Chris become very good friends and Chris tells Scott he is pretty good and should tryout for the team, but Scott doesn't have the self-confidence in himself to. ...more

Getting bullied at school, eating alone during lunch, and having no friends to hang out with was the daily life of Scott Parry. All he had was his football field in his backyard and a passion for kicking field goals.

After a couple of months of having no friends and being bullied everyday, Scott finally meets a new friend. Chris Colan, a jock unlike Scott, was being bullied one day over a picture of his dog. After Chris gets his picture back, Scott and Chris automatically become friends. A comm

"Two-Minute Drill" by Mike Lupica is another great sports inspired book. I know all of these books about sports are great stories and some can be inspirational. I loved this book and could relate to some parts of the book.

This book is about a young boy name Scott Parry. He is the new kid in town and is not very athletic at all. For not being very athletic, though, he is a very smart kid. He is most likely the smartest kid around. He feels as if he is a nobody and nobody notices him until a pop

I thought “The Comeback Kids: Two Minute Drill” was a great book about a kid who had just moved to a new town and made a friend. Scott Parry a sixth grader had just moved to a new town and didn't have any friends. He was the smartest person in class and answered all of the questions. Before getting on the buses one day he was being bullied by Jimmy Donlan one of the best kids on the football team. After Jimmy dumped out all of Scott's books out of his backpack Jimmy found a picture of Scott’s do ...more

I loved this book it is all about football. It is all about a boy named scott and scott is an extrely smart. He joins the football team and everyone is amazed that this "nerd" is on the team, but they dont know about scotts speed. The star quarterback is nice to scott and he also has a hidden secrate. This secrate could get him taken off the team. You have to read the book to find out.

The star quarterback Chris Conlan knows Scott's secret talent. Chris has a secret of his own but if he tells anyone he would get kicked off the football team. I liked how there was lots of action in the book, especially when they were playing football. There were some secrets in some parts of the book - like when Scott was really good at - whoops, you should read the book yourself!

This book Two Minute Drill is a great book by Mike Lupica. It great book about a kid named Scott on how he is only good at school and not football. Then there is a kid named Chris who is the coolest kid in school and he is the best at football. But he is not the best at school. This book is great for on how to stick up for a friend. Like when Scott gets pushed by a jerk and Chris comes in and sticks up for him. This book is a novel because it is a long story and representing character and action. ...more

This book was very good. It had sport drama mixed with plot twists. The author used real life people to better help the story. They use football references. This is why I love this book.
The plot was about a boy who is a book smart person. He moves from a lot of schools and gets bullied.Until, one day the most popular kid in the school and best football player befriends him. Now he must show how good he is at football.

First off I really liked it naturally because I really like sports and books like these are enjoyable to read. One thing that I really noticed is when I was reading the book it started to sound like a 9-11 year old book. So because of that I do not highly recommend it to mid-teens or adults. But I do recommend it to 7-11 year olds. To get back to the book, it was fun to read and also Mike Lupica brings in some challenges the kids have. It is really fun to read the parts when the kids are playin ...more

I read the book Two-Minute Drill in the series Comeback Kids. Mike Lupica has been one of my favorite writers for a long time, his sport books really appeal to me. This book seemed to move very slowly he was new to the school and kind of a nerd, but you expect it to be uplifting and he doesn’t start to be accepted until half way through chapter 17. His only friend is the star quarterback through the whole book I mean if anyone was to make fun of him I’d be him. Through the whole book he tries t

In my opinion, Two-Minute Drill is a very good book. I liked this book because I really like sports, so I like when they play the games and win in the end because I know what that feels like. I can't say any more without giving away too much of the story, but I have won close games before and Scott Parry, the main character, has many close games throughout the football season. I recommend it to anyone that likes sports or underdog stories. This book is about a small, new kid in school that every ...more

Mike Lupica has written some good sports novels for YAs and now turns his sights towards younger readers with his Comeback Kids series. Reading this book put me in mind of when I was in grade school and reading Matt Christopher, which were the epitome of sports books for kids then and still popular now.

Scott Parry is the new kid in school, trying very hard to make new friends. He is smart but clutzy, which makes him the target of Jimmy Dolan--football player, son of the football coach, and schoo

The book was an OK book all together. I liked how a nerdy kid that was really smart and didn't have that many friends at school made the school football team. He made friends with the quarterback a kid named Chris and he was the type of person everyone liked. He was on the team mostly because of how good he could kick which I thought was cool for a kid that's not athletic. All together it was an okay book and i would recommend it to people that like sporty books.

Two minute drill is about a 6th grade football team. The main characters name is Scott Parry he is a new student in the school and became friends with one of the best players on the football team. This book is set in a small district with only about 5 other football teams in it with them, and they are the best team in their district. It is about the eagles football season and how Scott and his friend progress through the season.

This book made me connect to my past years as a football player and
