I grabbed this from the library to review some stuff on intervals, chords, etc. What it highlighted for me was that my elementary school had an amazing music program, because there's very little in this book I hadn't learned by 5th grade. (And that was stuff specific to jazz and rock music or instruments I've never played.)

The book helped me un-forget some valuable details, but I don't know how useful it would be for an actual novice. It races through topics in a way that might be just bewilderi
