Tears of Heaven was a very moving romance. It made me cry in several scenes. The devotion between Heaven and Sergei really hit home with me. I felt for Heaven, all that she had gone through, and her emotional anguish, and then her fear to open herself up to loving. And Sergei never grew impatient with her, his love steadfast, gentle, and protective--the balm to heal her wounds.

Although this is a short novella, the progression of the love affair between Heaven and Sergei felt right. They starte

Tears of Heaven is simply put, a very sweet story about Heaven, a young woman whose early childhood had been filled with hurt and abandonment because the man who fathered her left Heaven to be raised by a mother who didn’t really care about her or want her, either. At age thirteen, after her tumultuous childhood, she is taken in by an LDS family who adores her and helps her realize how important she is, and that she is definitely someone worthy of love. Unfortunately, as a young adult, she end

"Tears of Heaven" is a sweet, quick read. It would go well on an evening when one doesn't want to think to deeply and would like a story before bedtime.

The story is a first hand account of a young woman who moved to Sweden to live with her grandparents after ending an abusive relationship with her boyfriend. There, against all her fears, she meets the man of her dreams. Trouble follows, however, as she can't seem to escape her past and the terrors it holds.

While engaging, the story reads like on

** SPOILER ALERT ** This was the touching short story of Heaven, who was practically abandoned first by her father and then later by her mother. She grew up not feeling worth being loved or cared for, until she was taken in by a nice family that began to show her she was worthy. Because of her sad beginning, she was quiet and shy and her first real relationship happened when she was 19. Her boyfriend Ross turned out to be abusive, 1st verbally then physically, but it wasn't until he pretty much ...more

This is one of my favorite authors. Whenever I see a new book by her; I know that I am going to get a warm, inspiring, tug-at-your heartstrings type of story and she never disappoints.

This is Heaven and Sergei's story. Heaven has been abandoned by both parents and was raised by foster parents. Her life took on an abusive turn when she met Ross, determined not to be a victim she fled to her maternal grandparents in Sweden.

I love this story because it shows a wo

Heaven Gunderson, a young Swedish woman by heritage, who was abandoned by her father before she was born and by her mother who never really wanted her thirteen years later. She was fortunate to find her way into the home of the Copeland family who raised and loved her as if she were one of their own. Then she met Ross Townsend every girl's dream, every girl's but hers. He soon became her nightmare...jealous, physically and mentally abusive, a walking time bomb. How could she get out of this rela ...more

I had the privilege to reading an arc copy of Tears of Heaven by Jewel Adam. You all know I am a huge fan of Jewel. She has a talent and am grateful she shares it will us! I think this sweet story was great. It is an LDS romance but don't worry if you are not of the LDS faith. You may be a little out of the loop on some lingo. For example: sealed instead of married, ward is similar to a perish. But over all I think you would be just fine. The plot is intriguing and the characters well developed. ...more

I enjoyed this story but I was left feeling like I wanted more. I wanted more development, more time. I guess this book just needs to be made into a full length novel. Things just moved way too fast for me. I like the plot, I liked the characters (well, except the BAD guy, of course)but I wanted to LOVE them. I just needed more. So, Jewel, I hope you have plans to make this into a full length novel, because I want MORE. Wow, how 2 year old-ish does THAT sound?

My praise to Jewel for writing clean

Tears of Heaven was a story that was hard to read at times as i felt her pain looking back on the abuse she endured, but finding Sergi was what she needed to get over the hurt. This was an intense but beautiful story to read. I highly recommend this story to anyone.
This was a nice surprise to find in my in box. It was an interesting romantic suspense story set in Stockholm.
