Recommends it for: Every conspiracy theorist
A friend of mine recommended this book to me and told me if I want to get the book I shouldn't use a credit card so that the government wouldn't know I'm reading it. Upon hearing this, I immediately dropped everything I was doing and ran to the nearest bookstore to get this book. I made sure to use cash. I got totally into it.

The book is written by a former military guy who decides to tell all about the American government. He discusses the secret socieites like the Illuminati, Protocols of the...more
As with all anecdotal evidence and unsubstantiated claims, one must take care not to jump head over heels into full on belief without taking outside knowledge into consideration; regardless, Mr. Cooper lays out an extremely detailed set of documents which, while describing an incredibly perverse and corrupt state of reality, are also actually believable in a lot of ways. The idea that we are being governed by an oligarchy and not truly being represented is very controversial for obvious reasons,...more

Aside from the UFO stuff which is interesting but not something I have seen enough to be proven true to me,Bill Cooper was a prophet. I don't think I have ever called anyone a prophet. His chapters on Executive Orders that can be issued by the President are so applicable to todays news regarding Obamas attempts to push through executive orders regarding gun law. He explains his mostly believeable theories clearly and concisely with reference to back up his statements.Reading this from 20+ years...more
Mr. Cooper puts it all together in a rather plain and simple manner on how our government and/or those behind it use fear and dependency to control our society.

With the "Middle Class" basically disappearing here in the US, his writing pretty much predicted this would happen and it was written in 1991.

When I read this book, it confirmed some of the things that I was taught while growing up. I'm not talking about conspiracy theories and all, but our mentality as a society where we have to have eve...more

Some pretty good theories but some of it seems a might bit far fetched. The author tends to bog down in too much information(yes, it is important in this case but still!!) and it gets a little dry. I think he should have done a two part series, but i know how conspiracy guys are, ya gotta get out the truth man. But I do have a place in my heart for this book simply because it was before the internet, since then everyone with a 2nd Grade education has written a book or a blog on JFK, OKC or 911....more

Do you believe in conspiracy theories ? UFO's? Perhaps you do not. Once you read this book you may change your mind. I myself am not one for conspiracy theories and I may not necessarily buy into all the author's conclusions but after reading this book I now have my eyes opened.

William Cooper served in the military with high honors. He served on boat crew and submarines during the Vietnam War and he also served in air force. Numerous times during his service he spotted several UFOs and heard a g...more

This is the first book I ever read on conspiracy, exopolitics, ect. It threw me into the world I find myself unable to stop trying to find more about. I thought of the 'big picture' and started to question who painted this picture. This is great for thouse who say, "I question the status quo." Also check out his short lived radio series, The Hour of the Time.
This book scared the crap out of me. If you believe in any conspiricy theroies, you will love it. But be warned, there are things in this book that will have you thinking a whole lot of craziness is going on. I had to put the book down for a while, and start back up.
Ok, this guy is effin' nuts, and I love paranormal books (so that's kinda saying something). I really don't understand why this is such a cult classic. It appears to be not much more than the ramblings of someone whose gone completely off the deep end - which could be enjoyable, if only the book were better written.

I don't want my paranormal books to be a chore to read. They are like my literary junk food. I read them when I'm "cheating" on "real" literature. This book - augh! - where to begin?

I read this back when I was in college and it left me thinking. I do not know that I believe a lot of the things that were stated int his book simply because I want to believe our government wouldn't do this to us, but you never know. The author had a lot of credible evidence to back up his claims and all of the things he stated in this book are of shock value. Especially the whole vaccination theory..... I also was told that the author of this book was killed after the book was published and ma...more

Wow. Conspiracy theorists bible. Also, if you care to have a deeper understanding of why hip hop got political in the mid 90s, it has everything to do with this book. Just an interesting note, most of this book contains "classified" documents, mostly blacked out. Also, everyone involved in this book being written were killed. Hm.

This is the book that changed my whole way of thinking. Everything in this book may or may not be right and exact but it will definitely make you think. This book gave me a whole new perspective on the way I view the world. This is the first book that gave me confirmation on something that was in the back of my mind for a long time - that something is not right. I thank William Cooper for publishing this book & setting me on my own path for seeking the truth. I highly recommend that anyone...more

"Like it or not, everything is changing. The result will be the most wonderful experience in the history of man or the most horrible enslavement that you can imagine. Be active or abdicate, the future is in your hands." William Cooper.....We go through life without questioning anything and accept everything that we are told. This book is not for everyone but it sure does help you stop and think and just ask the question why?..Great book William Cooper R.I.P the truth cannot be silenced.
i must have read this after it first came out. i bought it at a local pawn shop. it feed right into where i was at the time. i still like the idea of the masses being distracted from reality. very useful tool for those with their own agenda. also of interest was the masons. i lent my copy to a member of said society to get his take on it. he has not returned yet. anyway we can take it for what it is,someones view and opinion, or go off on a zealous tangent. twnmwbd.

After reading various comments saying that Cooper is just another lunatic who went off the deep end, it's not surprising to me that our nation is deteriorating, day by day. I mean, how naive can some people be? It's no wonder there's fluoride in our water supply, GMO's left and right and our constitutional rights are being stripped.

On another note, a very interesting read. Recommended for open minded individuals who already have some background about the US govt.

I will start by saying that there is a great deal of personal "filtering" that needs to be incorporated when reading this book. As with any book that deals with personal accounts of events, you have to remember that not everything is always true, and that it always comes back to personal interpretation of the facts.

Given that, this book was phenomenally packed with information on a wide range of events. The role of the Illuminati was discussed, backed up by several lists of members correspondin...more

I read this book a while ago and while I found it fascinating, I wouldn't put a lot of stock in EVERYTHING Bill says in the book. Alot of his military career doesn't check out (yeah classified maybe) and there are a lot of theories that are a little over the top. He was a little bit nuts and eventually died because he opened fire on a group of police officers who were trying to arrest him for tax evasion(hitting one in the head) who then opened fire and killing him in return. He talked about fir...more
Out of this world. You truly have to read this book with an open mind.I read this book about 6 years ago, and at that time I was seeing the world through hafl awake eyes, and what I mean by that is you know how in the morning when you wake up but your not all the way awake yet, and being in that state causes you not to see things clearly, well this book became my no doze LOL it will awaken you totally.

I'd forgotten I read this a long time ago. The first half wasn't bad. After that, the conspiracy theories got so outlandish I almost couldn't read it.
Chris Forde
Mr. Bill Cooper was murdered for what he believed in! He wanted to be able to help people that have been conditioned into this corporate enslavement!
Jason West
good read... lots of information is crammed in this book. Seems like the author wrote it as a collective rather than a whole work.
Chris Johnsen
Let's be perfectly clear, M. William Cooper was a raging alcoholic and a true nut job. However, this book is an excellent start for any budding conspiracy theorist. Wide-ranging in its conspiratorial scope, virtually no major conspiracy theory is left undiscussed - UFOs, JFK assassination, New World Order, AIDS/population control, etc. Cooper is almost Zelig-like in his involvement or connection to the myriad of theories. At the time I read this I ate it up with a spoon. Years later, having lear...more
OMFG! this book was insane. im suprised that the author wasnt killed for writing it...i mean they tried, but im suprised that they didnt finish the job. Did they finish the job? some one clue me in. It was interesting to know some of the things that the government has been hiding from the people. face it, we all know that they're hiding things its just interesting to know exactly WHAT things they're hiding. I loved the part about the illuminati and the free masons and all of the other secret org...more

I will put this on my list, although I do not really recommend it. It is written poorley in my opinion. Run on sentences and thoughts that are not finished. Maybe they are picked up in later places, but it becomes hard to follow. While some of the ideals in the book could make some sense, others seems to go way off the deep end, into insanity. This book has warped many of minds, with little evidence to back it all up. Who's to say the documents printed in this publication, hold any validity to t...more
I don't really believe in any of the conspiracy theory stuff, but it's pretty entertaining to read so I picked up this book in the hope of a good laugh.

Basically this guy is nuts and he goes off on a mad one about anything and everything: economics, UFOs, the Kennedy assassination, anything that comes through his mushy mind.

Now and again he's right, like when he talks about bankers accumulating wealth for themselves at the expense of society, and plenty of times he's wrong, and usually he's just...more

Wasn’t worth all the hype it got years ago (the back story of the author is more interesting than the actual book). At least there’s a shout out to my old hometown of Kearny, NJ, in some ‘classified letters’ of an experiment to overtake a town to implement a new shadow government as an exercise by our government. “The truth is out there.” (it’s behind your couch)
Michael Alford
There are so many different aspects to this book that I'm not sure where to start. This book was loaned to me by a friend who knew of my fondness for all things conspiratorial. I read very little here that I had not read before, as Mr. Cooper appears to have taken every conspiracy theory in the world and thrown them into a blender.
Mr. Cooper starts off the book by claiming to be a devout Christian, then sprinkles profanity throughout the next 400 pages.
Mr. Cooper repeatedly refers to himself a...more
there are some notion mr. cooper posits that are undeniably creditable. Other subjects more esoteric may seem more farfetched. His background IS 100% Certified, legitimate and genuine. If a US president asked you to believe it would it be any less credible?

I am having a hard time reading this and I am going to put it down until Im desperate for a book.

I dont even like the way its presented, a bunch of "legal documents" with child like interjections from the author.

...UFOs, Illuminati, lizard people, FEMA...
First couple chapters seem almost plausible, then Cooper lays in the bizarre stuff.
Great for 15 year olds and all the rest of us who dine on crookedness
