Murder in a Minor Key-Murder She Wrote is like the other books. You know what you're getting. The story and plot is fine. I won't go into the details because I don't want to give away anything--the blurb says it all. What I like most about it was the description of New Orleans--The flavor of the people, music and lifestyle. It also gives an insight of the religion of Voodoo. I also learned something about records and the first recordings on cylinders as they were called. The way it's written mak ...more
Another great mystery. This one takes place in New Orleans during jazz festival. I learned about voodoo and jazz music. The book made me want to visit New Orleans on day and if you like murder she wrote this is a good read.
I have enjoyed all the Jessica books.
I loved the Jazz info and I have visited New Orleans so it was fun to see it through Jessica's eyes.

I love this series of books. They are easy reads with heart and are great at taking you to wherever Jessica is at. These aren't "thrillers" that get caught up in gruesome crimes with psycho killers, which is a good thing!
Even though the book is not set on Halloween, the setting of it is perfect for Halloween. I had a lot of fun reading it and the author does a great job including historical facts about New Orleans in the story.
Reading this book completed my personal challenge to read 17 of the Murder She Wrote mystery books. This book holds true to form, for light mystery entertainment.
