My 8 year old son begged to read this & I was hesitant. All I can say now is that we are BOTH very glad I took a chance and read it to him (and the rest of the series) before bed every night (he read on his own at other times).

Surprisingly, this was the first book (in a REALLY long time) that literally made me laugh out loud - repeatedly!! I WILL admit that Nate - the way he thinks, acts, and his imagination - is extremely similar to my son so, I'm sure that influenced how often I laughed.

I really like this book. It is really funny! It is about Nate and his friends trying to sell as many posters for Boy Scouts because who ever sells the most posters they will win the grand prize which is a skateboard that you design your self. I think this book is funny because it has good jokes and funny drawings. I recommend this book for everyone!

Am I becoming jaded? My current students enthusiastically recommended the Big Nate series by Lincoln Peirce to me and so this week I read Big Nate on a Roll. The book wasn’t terrible. In fact, it was okay. I even agree with my students who repeatedly told me, “It’s funny!” But that’s all. It’s nothing special.

While reading Big Nate, I kept trying to figure out what Greg of the Wimpy Kid series has over Big Nate. I connected enough with Greg that I bought the set, watched the first movie, and rea

I finished reading a great book called Big Nate on a Roll by Lincoln Peirce. I really liked this book because it's a fiction book and it's fun for kids to read. Nate (the main character) has a arch enemy named Artur (aka Mr. Perfect) that has bugged him all his life. Nate was in detention and was missing a Timber Scout meeting. Once he got released from detention he rushed to his skateboard and started to his friend Teddy's house. On the way there a woman's dog jumped in front of him and made hi ...more

Big Nate on a roll is a fictional comedy comic/novel written by Lincoln Pierce.
The main characters are Nate, Artur, Teddy, and Francis. The story is about Nate has lost his skateboard over a bridge. And he tries to enter a boy scout competition and the grand prize is a customization skate board. But his arch nemesis Artur (he is just a nice foreign kid who is perfect. He is so popular, kind, and mannered. And Nate can't stand him.) joins too and is out selling him 4-1. Nate must gather a plan t

This was an okay book because it didn't really have any realistic events that will happen. What I did like about this book was how Nate will think of many scenarios to beat his nemesis in selling wallpapers. His nemesis never seems to lose in anything. I liked this book because it was pretty funny how many times Nate tried to do something that will benefit himself by making his nemesis look bad, but Nate is the on that always looks bad in the end.

Big Nate s the little kid with a BIG attitude problem, and we love him for it! This one has Nate-ski competing with a foreign exchange student in selling Warm Fuzzy posters. (Note: in high school we never were allowed to hug anyone, a rule I happily broke time and again, so we had to settle for something less tangible, and less good-feeling, called warm fuzzies. So anyone, I think, can relate to THAT!) But poor Nate is left in the dust as the kid outsells him at every turn! VENGEANCE IS MINE!!! ...more

This book is about Nate and his arch enemie join cub scouts with him. Everybody like him more than Nate.I liked this book because it was funny and I know how Nate feels and that can be very annoying. I recommend this book to people who like diary of a wimpy kid or just comic/chapter books that are funny.

The author of Big Nate is Lincoln Peirce. I liked this book I did not think I was going to like it because I do not like these kinds of books but in the end I thought it had a good message and it was funny at times. There are other books about nate and his friends and I think I am going to read more. Big Nat is kind of a trouble maker so he tries to be a better person but then he loses a friend and a camera so he is trying to look every were for the camera . He tells his friend that he lost it s ...more

It's good. This book has a similarity with the Wimpy Kid although i havent read any of the Wimpy Kid series and i cant compare them, but they both have drawings in the book which makes it cool and enjoyable to read. This will be a big hit for kids and the kids at heart. Funny adventures of Nate Wright.

In this book, the main characters are Nate Wright and Artur. It is set in a modern day suburb, but it's not specific with a name. The main conflict is that Artur, a new student from a different country who speaks in broken English, which all the girls think is really cute, is always better at everything than Nate, even if he has no idea what he's doing. Specifically in this book, Artur is dating Nate's crush, Jenny, who, like the other girls, thinks Artur is so cute and sweet. Artur also ends up ...more

Nate has been extremely annoyed by Arthur. He thinks that Arthur is a Mr Perfect in everything that he is good at and has pulled Nate down to second place. Nate was really fed up because of that. Nate heard about another one of the contests for Scouts. He heard that the grand prize for the winner of the contest is a brand new skateboard. Since he lost his skateboard very recently, he is longing to win the prize, but Arthur is also in Scouts. The contest is to sell a brochure that wasn't so clear ...more

Big Nate is a fiction book written by Lincoln Peirce. This is a funny novel of the Big Nate series, which entertains anybody who reads it.The author is an award winning author and a best seller. The book Big Nate On a Roll By Lincoln Peirce is about how Nate needs a new skateboard and his scout is having a contest to sell posters for money and the grand prize winner gets a personalized skateboard. The problem is that the "charming prince" of his school joins his troop and he is obviously going to win and get the skateboard. Or will he?

I liked this book because it seems like the answer is obvious but in the end something happens to change everything. I also liked this book because it's

This book was a great laugh especially when I was reading a normal book on the side. It is about Nate who loses his skateboard. Then there is challenge for his timber scout group that the one who sells the most wall hangings wins a customized skateboard. But Nate's luck is not good a wonder boy, Artur, is good at selling he ends up selling 54 wall hangings. Nate realises that he has to make money to buy them himself. Big Nate on a Roll by Lincoln Pierce is book three in the series. This book is very competitive and funny. Especially when mistakes after mistakes happen.

When Nate is riding his skateboard he slips and the board goes under the bridge bars and into a lake. Now he does not have enough time to go to school every morning. When his scout mission occurs he has the chance to sell wall hangings and the scout who sells the most gets a new skateboard. But another scout member is very good at selling!

Big Nate on a roll is a great book and I feel like it represents the graphic novel genre well but I feel like it has no serious tone and makes it self a lot more in a trying to be funny and a way where you can open 90 percent of pages and you will be able to read. That can be bad because the plot isn't really there and while funny the little shorts in the book feel like are there just to fill the book up and they interrupt what ever is happening.I might have said that but on the other hand this ...more

Nate wants to win the poster-selling contest sponsored by his scout troop. He is especially motivated by the first prize, a new skateboard, since he just lost his own precious skateboard in an incident involving a dog, a bridge, and a fatal plunge into the river (the skateboard's not Nate's).
How Nate determines to beat his rival, Artur, an annoying new French student, for the prize shows his ambition and hard work and creativity. Throughout the story, Nate keeps drawing his comic strip, and flas
