The message of looking beyond all the bad news to see what is good about a young boy's neighborhood will resonate with many readers. The photographs make the story come alive as Marcus walks from his house to the barbershop. I liked the added color as he walked home with a different outlook. The support of those he encountered while at the barbershop helped Marcus to "not only see the good news. You need to be the good news."
