Paul Finch is one of my favourite writers, whose work has the appropriate mix of history, horror, [rarely] humour (although at very low dosage, if at all present) and high-octane pace that never slackens. His recent collection, published by the good people at the Gray Friar Press also stands above many other horror books presently flooding the market (either by single-author, or anthology) due to the above-mentioned qualities of the stories. I became familiar with Paul Finch through his anthologised short fiction, and he always ticks all the boxes. Paul Finch is a former cop and journalist, now full-time writer. Having written for the television series THE BILL plus children's animation and DOCTOR WHO audio dramas, he is best known for his horror fiction.

He has won the British Fantasy Award twice and the International Horror Guild Award.

Paul lives in Wigan, Lancashire, UK with his wife and children.
