I really enjoyed this book! Funny, outrageous and yet quite close to the bone.

Lisa
2.5 stars - A somewhat amusing farcical tale. Preposterous plot but with some funny societal observations.

This is the first book by Terry Jones that I have read.

I had to read this for book club, it was such a fun quick read that I struggled to put it down.
Its hard to describe this book but all i can say it will have you laughing.
I wish this book was a big book as it would of been nice to get to know the characters more.
What I was concerned about- im not a dog lover but how did Nigel the dog stay with when Malcom went to stay with his sister?

Im looking forward to be reading some more off Terry Jo

Never read anything by Terry Jones before and this taster of his work makes me want to read more. Very comical throughout. Basically a planning application is put forward and people disagree and this leads to a kidnapping and murder.

A planning application leads to murder, kidnapping and a bombing.

This short story is amusing in an absurd way. If like surreal (but slightly believable) stories you’ll probably enjoy this book.

For a short story so much was packed in and it was hilarious, proper comedy in all senses. Especially loved the gangsters moll
Alison
Another of the Galaxy quick reads series - rather strange tale about Russians trying to build new property development.
