So, it had hopes of being really good.... even with some grammatical errors. I'm OCD about that, so the fact that I let them go meant it was ok TO START.

HERE are my issues:

The time period.....???!!! I hated that.... and mermaids can walk UPRIGHT on their fins ALL DAY LONG- no biggie, right?! Pshhhhhh!

The end of the book: if it hadn't been that I love my Nook so much, I would have thrown it across the room and run over and stomped on it in hopes to get the time BACK that I wasted reading this boo
"Tears on a Tranquil Lake" was a short, enjoyable read, but was missing some explanations that I think were important to the plot. Marsha Moore weaves a wonderful tale about Ciel, a girl turned mermaid who is facing the decision of which man to be with. Her writing was clear and the story flowed well, but some of the relationship aspects were too unreal for me.

The author did a wonderful job of creating a world that was detailed, interesting, and believable. Her descriptions made me feel as thou

Wasn't a huge fan of this one, but the ending was cool. The mythology of the book didn't work for me, and neither did the romance-y love triangle thing. But the beginning and end were pretty sweet.
The prose was also a bit much. Just the way everything was written made me have to read it twice to really fully understand what was going on.
Just wasn't for me I suppose.

Great fantasy romance with a unique twist for an ending. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and recommend it.
