This book presents the concept of a vertical farm and talks a lot about why it would be good if they were to become viable (food close to the population centers, year round production, no chemicals, recycle everything, less water waste, etc). Almost all of the book is about supporting the concept and very little about the technology to make it happen - I wished there was more on the science to make it happen and a business model to explain its costs and to support its viability.
