In BLUE BLOOD (Pulse #4) Grow gives us a deeper peek into Kalina's history bringing some game changing facts come to light. This tasty and important information is new to not only the reader, but also to our heroin and her vampire loves.
There is no shortage of drama in BLUE BLOOD with plenty of fight scenes, the return of villians of past and the introduction to some new "blood" (pardon the pun); a kick-butt slayer of sorts with an interesting connection to Kalina. Unfortunately I wasn't as thr...more

I agree with a few reviews. I feel that the author takes for ever to pick a guy she wants for Kalina. Sometimes I thought that the author didn't know who to pick or who was best suited Kalina. I also want to pick a character for Kalina and was really wanting one over the other, to the point that I hated when the author end picked some totally different than what I would have picked for Kalina. Some characters feel forced upon Kalina, like Octavius for example. And some even sounded to perfect("O...more

Blue Bloods Book 4 in the Pulse Series, is once again a fantastic continious in the series. The firsts of Kailin Gows series that I have read and I must say a series I will certainly recomened to all.

Kailin Gow has created a unique world revolving around vampires, a story of its own, continuing on with Kalina an 18 year old and her life as Life's Blood Carrier. In book 4 Kailina meets her past, looses loved ones, and faces many challanges in her life as she grows and learns to accept whom she w...more

I just finished reading BLUE BLOOD PULSE 4. I am a huge fan of the author and all her series but THE PULSE SERIES is something special. MS. GOW has taken a very original look at the vampire genre and turned it into something I’ve never had the pleasure to read before. The whole concept of carriers of Life’s Blood and the Vampire’s that use it for various reasons. Leading us to Kalina, a carrier of Life’s Blood, her Brother Justin, Octavius and his sires, the Greystone brothers.

Ok, I am still liking the series, but I am getting irritated with Kalina and her love problems. The story itself is fantastic, but I feel that this love problem is becoming center stage and it is annoying me. I find myself wanting to skip around to get to the real stuff. Maybe it is because I have chosen a particular guy and it just isn't working out the way I would like...I am not going to spoil it for anyone... :)
But, if Ms. Gow would let Kalina chose and keep her choice w/o all of the other m...more

I really liked the twists and turns that happened in this book...sure, there was still the whole "who does Kalina truly love" stuff happening; but along with that came some insight and surprising choices by our vampire men. Am I still frustrated...yes, but only because I want for a certain sexy vampire man to choose our Kalina once and for all and it be done. The best part of the book came with the twist of Max...that made things very interesting in relation to what Kalina's life has been all ab...more

Book 4 in the Pulse series was just as great as the first 3! I devoured it!! I have been waiting to read this one closer to book 5 release but I couldn't wait any longer. In this book Aaron is gone, Jagger is human (or is he) Stuart is crazed with Life's blood and Octavis is hunting Mal. Kalina is still torn not knowing who she loves from one minute to the next. The way Kailin Gow rights I feel like Kalina, one minute I'm in love with Stuart and the next I'm in love with Octavis lol. But I Will...more

Since I see Goodreads Authors voting on their own books, I'm going too, and this one gets a five. I love this series, believe in it, and love the characters enough to spend a heck of a lot of time thinking about them.

2.5 - 2.75...the story is getting a little redundant...

I love this series, but I hate how much it drags on about which guy she Kalina will choose. I mean come on I've heard of love triangles but loving four different guys!!!! Come on now..... Annoying. Pick already!!!
