The name of this book is called “The Party of Death” by Ramesh Ponnuru. In this book it talks about the good and bad side of abortion. A good thing about abortion is that if teenagers get pregnant they could always have that as an open option for them so that this would not ruin their future or their reputation. Von hoffermon also said that this baby will grow up to kill you and ruin you. It was also said that you aren’t really killing the baby because it haven’t came out yet and it’s usually wo...more

I decided to read this book based on its full title: The Party of Death: The Democrats, the Media, the Courts, and the Disregard for Human Life. It wasn't quite the wacko diatribe for which I subconsciously hoped. It's a decently writte...more

This book was somewhat dated. It discussed various pro-life legislation and how pro-choicers fought against the different laws. It was not as sensationalized as the title would imply. It had a lot of information about the lies surrounding the partial birth abortion ban, which was in the news at about the time the book was written. It also had information about how the democratic and republican parties evolved in their position on abortion.

Tough to review. I learned a ton about Roe v. Wade. Turns out late term abortions are completely legal in the US if you can find the right doctor. Euthanasia, stem cell parts were also enlightening but not as much so. The title of this book is much more inflammatory than the book actually is, and the book states that "The Party of Death" is not specifically the democrat party.
