I liked the book. Really. It was informative. I picked up a ton of facts about the actors, the show, everything Glee.

What I didn't like was the fact that it mostly had nothing to say but good stuff about the show. Yes, it is a Glee book supposed to bring the show some publicity and whatnot. But, people, Glee isn't just about the good stuff. There was a lot of controversy about the show in Season 1 alone.

I'm going to make this review short. I liked it. I just wish it had something more, and that

My library categorizes this as "teen non-fiction", and it reads like it was written by a teenager. A giddy one. There are grammatical errors, plenty of gushing, and there's too much speculation about future plot lines. The cover states that this is a "totally unofficial guide to the hit tv series", but it's NOT a guide to the show. This is a book that provides background info on the show, and mini-biographies of most of the cast members, in chapter form with an annoyingly immature narrative ...more

This is another attempt to capitalize on the public's need for all things Glee that ultimately doesn't satisfy. There's a little bit of information about the start of the show, what happens on set, and information about the different cast members. There's really nothing there that's not already been said about Glee, and there are absolutely no citations for any of the quotations. A better title by far is Don't Stop Believin': The Unofficial Guide to Glee

First Glee book I've read, and best described as "silly-cute." It was not terribly deep, and actually read so much like the book version of an E! True Hollywood Story that I kept hearing the lines read in that voice. It's so bad at times it's almost good. I kept wanting to pencil in reactions to things in the margins. But I did learn a few interesting things, like Dianna Agron's Tumblr URL and Heather Morris' background on So You Think You Can Dance.

I was bored at lunchtime at the bookstore and saw it sitting on the shelf.. almost calling my name. It was fun to look at the pics and read a little bit about Glee.. It's like watching a Musical every Tuesday night at *... its great!!

There are better Glee books out there for gleeks who actually want the right info and facts. The re-booted version of this is slightly better however.
