While I would not be interested in making the clay figure pirates, I like the design for the pirate ship, waves, shark, but am disappointed there are not any templates - the suggestion for "draw a mermaid" without any template would prove frustrating to a child, and the treasure chest design seems ridiculously complicated. Having not attempted to build a ship from their ideas, not sure of actual outcome, but I would not consider this particularly user-friendly for children.

lots of clay and pipe cleaners, paint and glue for a few crafts to make your own pirate and ship.
