In the story, Her Evil Twin by Mimi Coy, Anna Diplao ( the main character) wishes for nothing more than to be cool, to be noticed fashion wise and to be fearless. Anna then makes a new friend, Emma Diablo who is fearless, effortlessly fashionable, and always ready for an adventure. At first it seems that Emma is doing nothing but bringing Anna out of her shell. The two girls have fun doing each others hair, going to the Cinaplex, n getting back at Anna's enemies dubbed 'the Jackals'.But Emma is ...more

Anna is having trouble adjusting to middle school, and hanging out with her best friend Dorey doesn't help. Dorey doesn't care about being popular or about what she wears, and Anna is embarrassed to be around her. When the glamorous Jessamyn gives Anna a note to meet in a rarely used girls' bathroom, Anna is excited to be included in Jessamyn's secret group. When she agrees to take part in their initiations and "calls on the spirits" in the bathroom mirror, however, she faints. Jessamyn and her ...more

Have you've ever done a dare just to become popular? And betry your best friend for someone better? Well that happend to Anna. The genre for this book is realistic fiction and fantasy because this can happen to a school girl and I'm not sure if a ghost comming out from a mirror is real or not. I liked this book since i havent read it since 3rd grade and I'm happy I got to reread it.

The setting of the story is in a school since Anna is having most of her problems in school time with sometimes th

“Her Evil Twin” by Mimi McCoy. This book is about a girl named Anna. Anna and her friend Dory have a disagreement.. Then Emma Diablo steps in. When Anna is having friend issues, Emma comes in and shows her a new way to live. Emma gets Anna to do things that she would never had done in the first place, like going off school grounds to eat lunch and play. In Her Evil Twin,A girl named Anna Diplao is having trouble fitting in Middle School. She wishes to be cool, fearless, and fashion wise. Anna then makes a new friend name Emma Diablo, who is everything Anna wants to be. It looks like Emma is trying to bring Anna out of her shell, but Emma is just as her last name depicts her to be. ***Spoiler Alert*** "No!" Dory yelled, tugging at Anna with all her might. " You can't have her!" The genre of this book is drama. I like this book because I've always wondered what it was like to have an evil twin.

The setting takes place during school hours. Jessamyn, Kima and Lauren asked Anna to meet them at the old girls bathroom behind the gym one day after school. And I went to the old girls bathroom behind the gym after school with Dory her best friend. They asked Anna and Dory if they w

Why is her twin so evil?

When Anna gives up her soul so to speak to be in with the in-crowd, it has unforeseen consequences for her. She is required to give up everyone else she is close to and the in-crowd that she is not remotely close to, and then terrible things start happening. Not only does she find she has an alter-ego but this alternate self does only horrible things. I don’t think, given this title, I have given away any spoilers. The possibilities that raise themselves are all given: an

This is a cute read involving a teenage school girl who is not the most social student on the latter with a best friend who some might consider nerdy. She is left a note to meet in a girls bathroom and the click that she always wanted to be part of invites her to be part of there secret group.Once doing the deed to become part of there little secret group she then meets Emma who is daring and lives outside the box. She then gets the girl involved in all sorts of chaos and the disappears leaving ...more

This is the sixth installment in the new series, Poison Apple Books from Scholastic. This series keeps getting better and better with each book. And if it is anything little its little sister Candy Apple Books, we are in for many, many, more good reads. But back to the book at hand. Mimi McCoy who wrote the debut book in this series is back again and this time she has moved from a ghost story to a true haunting.

Anna has always wanted to be part of the 'in crowd' at school. She gets a note one da
Katie Fitzgerald
Of the entire series thus far, this book has the most sophisticated and creative plot. Though evil twins are stock characters from whom readers expect certain things, this book goes beyond a simple regurgitation of soap opera or horror movie plot lines. Rather, this evil twin story incorporates details from the past and present and creates a chillingly unclear line between reality and imagination. It also appeals to the importance of friendship to middle school girls, and uses a horror story to ...more

This is another chapter book my daughter chose for us to read together. I liked this considerably less than the others she's chosen recently. Most of them are fun or spooky but almost always have a point and/or lesson. This had none of those - I found it boring and I know she kept waiting for anything interesting to happen. And all of the negative actions were extremely overt while the positive messages far too subtle to have really hit a chord.

I really liked this book because it is fun and exciting. I just didn't really enjoy the introduction because it made me think that the book was going to be boring but it wasn't. This book is awesome because there are yhese two BFFS who look exactly alike but are so different, Anna and Emma. Emma is a rebel and a prankster but Anna is poised and a goody goody. It was fun reading this book because I learned how two completely different people can be so close. The mystery they had to face was if th ...more

Absolute, total and utter trash.
I don't know why this book is so popular. I also don't know how people find it so "creepy." A girl with an imaginary friend - how terrifying. Ridiculous and a terribly predictable and cliched plotline. Not even one star from me.

I loved this book! Now, if you have an imaginary friend...IGNORE THEM!!!
They are bad news! But i gotta say...i would've done a bit of those rebel things with Emma...

I recommend for twins to read this book if they think there sister is a mean person :D. I think my sister sometimes so mean when she is so bossy sometimes. Sometimes I like my sister sometimes I don't. This book is not really about the two girl on the cover book are really sister but it tells about Anna's BFF that looks like her but evil. When I first saw this book I thought they were twins but no.This book talks about when Anna first meet Emma, they look alike so then they started to became goo ...more

Friend or foe? is the question to ask about Annas new friend Emma. Is she really all you could want in a best friend or is something not right with her devotion. Lots of twists and turns bring you to a happy ending with the tumultuous friendship of Anna and Emma, well, sort of. This book can teach kids to appreciate their friends and the topic may grab the attention o
