Now this is one of the best sports books I have ever read, definately theb best written one. The way Murphy describes the large number of races is like actually being there. Lee Evans was definately a great competitor and soially aware athlete. I just wished the author woould have given a little bit more insight on the Olympic games itself, which athletes took parts in the protest meetings and so on.
so well done! This is a book I'm savoring because the allusions and metaphors make me think, and it's mind-blowing to think it was only forty years ago.
